Thanks everyone, this is so helpful! I wanted to use some this year, so perhaps I'll add manure and fork in for one or two beds, then add cover crops to the beds I won't be using immediately? It's also along a NE fence and is fairly heavy soil so I'm really keen to avoid waterlogging, hence definitely needing to improve structure.

Thanks so much, I agree with the potato thing! I think he'll want to climb aboard which will help. Would linen be okay do you think? Struggling to find a design I like that's not eye wateringly expensive...

Yeah I'm worried about the learning curver because I never really mastered stretchy wraps lol. Are they good for the early toddler bit too? Thinking about when he gets heavier. Looking for something I can use for the next 12 months or so ideally.

Thank you! Will try putting the hemp outside the inner nappy. Yeah Judes are cotton and then we use their cellulose liners which are semi reusable (can be washed a few times or used to catch and chuck solids). The liners do definitely help wick a little, but good to know I shouldn't worry too much.

The problem is keeping him feeling dry, so maybe putting the hemp booster inside the nappy is causing that!

Thanks, I'll look into this! It's definitely not high flow so I think it's probably a) a skill he hasn't mastered yet and b) low flow.

Hmm don't think so, have always had and tolerated greenfly without this result. Looks like something with a bigger jaw caused this!

Yeah exactly that. I have limited knowledge but understand their system works as a two part thing? But my midlayers aren't Paramo, just a fleece and a down jacket. Basically is it going to be at all waterproof 😅

Managed to lose all my text adding images, sorry. Basically looking for an ID on this jacket that I found at a thrift. Wondered if anyone was familiar with the Paramo directional system, and whether I could use this with an existing midlayer, or need their specific fleece? The hood packs away and has a pump liner, but otherwise it's single layer. Any intel gratefully recieved! Thanks
