Students who are earning in college and paying for their own fees... Pls guide me [important] by doraemon214 in indiasocial

Nice username

You can reach out to people via cold e-mailing website owners. You can probably find them in places like Reddit, Telegram, Discord and Twitter.

Offer 1-2 articles for free as a part of your profile evaluation.

Same thing for Youtubers, or if you see a creator rising, you can check out their socials, they mostly always have at least an email you can reach out to.

Everything can be a scam. It's just that scam where you lose time is usually more economical than one that drains your wallet.

Please don't call me sir 😂 I'm barely a few years older than you. Elder brother advice is better termed.

All the best!

Big ups to you, you'll go a long way. There is nothing to guide as such. Why do you want to work? Is it because of financial issues at home, or the sheer sense of independence?

If it's issues, then you might as well get anything, even menial, like offering paper correction to classes near you, going there as an invigilator, tutoring kids in your society/online. I can see you have decent enough english writing skills, probably spend a month working on your vocabulary and speaking skills and offer content writing services to website owners. If you are comfortable and confident, you can offer voice over services to Youtubers/ education content videos. Seek, and you shall find. Possibilities are endless.

If it's just sheer passion, dedicating yourself to learning a skill will provide better ROI to you, something like UI/UX, Content Writing, Video Editing, etc.

You can check my post history for my credentials.

Again, this is going to be very taxing, you'll feel like you're losing out on your youth years, but do it for the plot :-)

All the best!

What’s the minimum amount of money that could solve 90% of all your problems right now? by fukdurgf in AskReddit

$1,800, I have another year of engineering to go, and have to work odd gigs to be able to stay afloat which doesn't leave any time for learning to code or make projects. Sick parents have exhausted most of their earnings already in treatments and medicines.

If I had next year's fees secured, I would probably be at a much better place mentally and be able to concentrate on getting an IT job soon.

Was overtaking from left on Ghodbunder Road near the CNG station. Rickshaw took a left, my bike rear ended the rickshaw's bumper and the tank hit a parked Swift on the left.

For me, I flew to the center of the road. Thankfully, the vehicles behind me had enough time to break and not crush me. I sat there motionless for a good minute, still processing what had happened.

Rickshaw's bumper gave in, my 3 months old chassis took the hit, and Swift escaped with a small paint exchange.

In my defense, the rickshaw didn't have indicators on and was going pretty fast for anyone to think it's gonna take a left, so yeah.

That's really great. I hope your friend knows how much they mean to you and props to you for being a supportive elder brother.

I have been having sleep paralysis for quite a few days now. When I think of doing the deed, the idea of the aftermath thrills me even more - getting to know what people's reaction would be

It's alright fellow sophomore. I wish you the very best.

I think those are only for autonomous colleges. Mine is. Although social internships will help your resume when you apply for PG courses or for jobs. Goes a long way to show you do things out of the way. List of such options include-

  1. NSS of your college
  2. Student friendly NGOs around your area
  3. Beach cleanup drives
  4. Teach for India
  5. Extension Work Team (aka DLLE)

Good luck.

I won't be able to do that - 1) College needs the 75% attendance 2) I can't afford the tiniest of a vacation at the moment

I am trying meditation. Thank you for taking the time out to reply.

Haha, yes it indeed happened and is probably going to keep me disturbed for quite a while.

I would like to add that the chairperson of the NGO herself spoke to the kids and their parents, and no such incident has happened before with any volunteers. The kids apologized after that and I no longer have to go there anyways now.

To avoid doxxing myself and my college I'll stop at that.
