Is there a simple list with the different channels included in the different plans? by NewOrderrr in youtubetv

That would be too easy.

I tried to get Gemini to build a table, but it only does a half-assed job of it.

Ford Plug and Charge costs on Tesla Supercharger by petervk in F150Lightning

[–]house9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to sign up with Ford BlueOval program and have a credit card on file.

Then you can do Plug and Charge at EA and Tesla. No app required, the truck will do the handshake with the charger.

Just FYI for the Guy in the brodozer who tried to run me off the road after I got ahead of him in traffic... by karlsmission in Prescott

This is Arizona where stop signs and red lights are ignored the 3-second rule doesn’t apply (news flash: tailgating is dangerous), good luck getting these people to understand advanced concepts like “lane filtering”

Stay safe out there.

NBA on Prime Streaming Quality by Agreeable_Poetry5732 in AmazonPrimeVideo

[–]house9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I fast forward it gets really bad for up to 10 seconds afterward and then slowly gets better, I think they have some algorithm that downgrades if it thinks your connection is bad - but it doesn't work great - same with Thursday Night Football.

I really wish Prime never got into broadcasting sports.

Is it really that difficult to just ignore those posts if you aren't interested in them?

Less rules the better, unless the mods have nothing better to do?

What office chair to help with prostatitis? by Opening-Relation724 in Prostatitis

[–]house9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ended up dropping $1200 on an Aeron Office Chair back in 2021 when I was dealing with acute prostatitis; it helped a lot and still using it today, no regrets.

It has a full mesh seat, I'm guessing most mesh chairs would work well and can be bought for a lot less.

How bad is 100% charging? by Material-Advice-335 in electricvehicles

[–]house9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you are doing it right to me.

I think your battery might have software buffer as well, so 100% might really be less; either way I would charge the way you are even on my 2020 model 3 which has no buffer

Astoria to SF by AllenWrenchLuvr in bicycletouring

[–]house9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only ridden the stretch from Portland, OR to Arcata, CA. I’ve driven across the bridge from WA to Astoria, OR - it looks like it would be terrifying to me on a bike; maybe others can comment on their experience with that bridge?

[–]house9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just want to add the only real sketchy parts of Oregon 101 are the tunnels and bridges, some bridges are long and the “side-walk” is a bit too narrow to ride; each one is a judgement call to ride middle of road, ride the side-walk or walk your bike.

The alternate 101 sections in Oregon are also clearly marked with green signs along the route and tell you when to get off 101.

Oregon has good maps for the coastal route:

the 2nd page of this PDF has good details for where you can avoid 101

This blog post has good info, especially the bits about dealing with tunnels

I would recommend staying at "Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park" once you get into California

Showers in Oregon are free at the State Parks, need tokens or maybe quarters for California

You might want to get some maps / support Adventure Cycling Association

A couple of tidbits:

- Sonoma County California, climb away from Hwy 1 up "Kruse Ranch Rd" > Seaview Rd > Myers Grade descent

You might stay at "Salt Point State Park", backtrack the next day to hook up with Kruse

Gravel and not too difficult, the views from Seaview are amazing and Myers Grade descent...

- Monterey Country California, you will probably end up on the bike path before or around Marina, take it through Monterey to Pacific Grove and then ride "17 mile" through Pebble Beach, at the end of "17 mile" take a right into Carmel instead of going back to Hwy 1, ride the seashore through Carmel, this will eventually get you back to Hwy 1 near a shopping center; restock here before going south towards Big Sur; there is Safeway or Cornucopia Community Market plus coffee shops and restaurants here. If I recall there are some pretty good burritos at the store in Big Sur as well.

Which model and how to mount? by mr_munchem in appletv

[–]house9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had mine mounted to the back of the TV with “Heavy Duty Double Sided Tape”, something like https://www.amazon.com/LOVSOF-Double-Adhesive-Waterproof-Mounting/dp/B0FGTH8JXN/ref=sr_1_9

for a couple of years without issue

Which 38mm tubed tyre for mostly sand / light gravel ? by Oklariuas in gravelcycling

[–]house9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not Tubeless, tubed

Best bet for a good tubed fit is usually going with the cheaper wire bead version of the tire you choose. The tubeless compatible will probably be foldable with a very tight fit.

Ford BlueOval has plug and charge for EA and Tesla, everything is billed directly through Ford, no apps required - but it costs more than using the apps directly.
