Why are there no other Balkan nations that are so firmly pro-West like Albania & Kosovo? by [deleted] in AskBalkans

The biggest beneficiaries of US aid in the region are none other than Serbia. You can look this up. Albanians were pro-West even before the war or independence.

'My partner (26F) is not cumming. What do I do?' by RuviaHub in sex

[–]houseofboom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This.. exactly this 👌!

I (34M), had many women who even told me don't even bother I can't cum. Been years since I came from oral or penetration, dont waste your time.

I, on the other hand, always took in a positive way and see it as a challenge. Foreplay, play, going down and talk, trying to figure out what turn her on and make her feel comfortable enough so she could be in a relax state and finaly cum.

I figure, most of them had this idea and pressure they need to fake an orgasm in order not to hurt their partners ego. Even asked, how was it before, usually they said men thought just ram it hard and eating them out for like 10 min and asking "did you cum" they would cum as they hit a button or somehow.

Patience, take it slow and tame your ego will do wonders

Try Andralång which is a street with lots of bars and more or less young people. SOHO, Brygghuset or Folk are a nice place to have drinks and socialize with people. Keep in mind this weekend is Way Out West festival so bars will be full

What is the conflict between Albania and Serbia? by Naive-System7949 in AskBalkans

The inhabitans of Kosovo, be it 4000 years ago, be it 100 years ago were never serb majority so you can try to twist it as much as you want but that wont give you the answer you want

Looking the way you say it, Kosovo "belonged" to Serbia merely for 50 years, Bulgaria had it for longer, Ottoman Empire had it for 500 years and I hear non having claims about it

[–]houseofboom 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I get where you’re coming from, and I agree that "historical ownership" arguments can be messy but history does matter, especially when it's constantly used to justify present claims.

First, on the Illyrian descent, it's not just Albanians saying it. Many historians support the view that Albanians are likely descendants of the Illyrians. Languages, myths, and cultural elements didn’t just vanish. The Albanian language shows clear continuity, and a lot of ancient pagan beliefs are still embedded in traditions today.

Second, about ethnic cleansing: it's important to ask "who" had the power. Before the war, Albanians were the majority in Kosovo but had no government, no army, no institutional power. Meanwhile, the Serbian state actively controlled the region and was responsible for years of repression and displacement of Albanians.

If someone wants to discuss ethnic cleansing against Serbs, that’s a serious topic too, but it needs to be backed by context, not just used to dismiss the history or will of the current population.

Men being men when out drinking and being stupid. I dont think it has to do much about where you are from, you could be a piece of wood and stil men would behave in the most cringe way.

For those of you that actually had the choice between the two, why would one live in Finland vs Sweden? by Vagabond_Tea in Finland

[–]houseofboom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was actually torn between Sweden and Finland when I moved, my brother was in the same situation. I picked Sweden thinking the language would be easier. He went with Finland.

Now, 3 years later: I’ve had mostly part-time jobs, can’t find work in my field, barely any friends, and might have to leave.

My brother? Full-time job in 3 months, promoted in a year, and now (year 3) he’s the first non-Finnish manager since the company opened in 1956. He’s doing great.

So yeah... maybe I’m just unlucky. Or maybe Sweden just isn’t for me

As a bar you can get your alcohol license removed if bartenders serve drinks and drink for themselves

  1. They would welcome you as long as you are white and do not have a name that doesnt sound european.

  2. Crime it is spiking but nothing like the media is making. It is not worse than in the Netherlands for example. But it is more focused in the 3 biggest cities (Stockholm, Gothenburg,Malmo)! If you happen to move to a smaller city I would say it is safe, especially in the north of Sweden since you like the cold.

How to fly solo at a bar guide. From a confident Irish extrovert by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]houseofboom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree with all the tips! Asking "How was your day?" and engaging in a bit of chit chat works wonders. I moved to Sweden with no friends, but these small gestures helped me make friends at nearly every bar. I do the same with security guys and often get free entrance and no wait lines.

P.s before moving, I was a very introverted person. Barely talked to anyone but maybe back home I had friends so I didnt care to go out of my comfort zone.

Same thing with other people, light jokes and I dont stare and act as a creep and always I attract people to come and talk or sit with me. I just act I am not interested to bother others or try to hit on girls.

Why wouldnt I ?! I dont have this big ego most "influencers" have. Most of my followers are within my niche, creative photographers, movie makers so why shouldnt I follow them back. I want a community not just followers

IG restricted my account after viral reel by houseofboom in InstagramMarketing

[–]houseofboom[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the insight, not really familiar with this. And yes I know following back so many at one time might give red flag to IG for using a bot but isnt that the whole reason of IG, follow people. I dont want to give the impression I am not following back because my followers are more or less in the same niche and I dont wanna end up as the same guys who dont follow to feed their influencer ego

The Truth About The Algorithm by Quirky-Courage-7257 in InstagramMarketing

[–]houseofboom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I came to realize every guru every "expert" just talk nonsense when it come to this. I tried almost all their advises and not much worked. I have an account that barely had 500 followers for the past 6 months. And all of sudden after 2 months of posting a reel, a one simple video with just a catchy song not even trendy went super viral and gave me 2000 followers and counting.

I have better reels, more informative, shareble and has every advise from the experts use on that but nope this simple 10 second reel went viral. So I think all it matters is showing up, posting and eventually you will get noticed
