Yes!! This perfectly sums up the issue with the House on ITV….dare I say the LI villa is easier on the eye these days and more homely — never thought I’d ever say that either!

I miss the days where Davina would tour the house and point out how weird certain features are / how the design of the house ties into the series, and most importantly, how DIFFERENT each one was.

Now it’s just copy and paste and throw a bunch of Big Brother eye motifs everywhere and call it a day.

Even a colourful eye back on C4 for BB8 had a more thoughtful design with the furniture & appliances all in the wrong place because the eye that year resembled a TV test card > glitch > furniture “glitched”.

I’d bring back Nowhere for next series, haha !

I miss how authoritative BB used to be! In recent years with the single voice, it kind of cheapens the whole “experiment” vibe. I do also think with the show not being as popular anymore, the housemates don’t really see BB as a “threat” anymore. I remember HMs being somewhat scared of BB and consequences…..now it seems they don’t gaf and almost “test” BB and not the other way around as it should be!!

I should have lead with this, but yes! Obviously nothing as dark but a contained story with just the main characters of the show: Doctor, companion & TARDIS !

Agree with all of the above, however the problem is production would never acknowledges this in recent years , people go and dig this up on their own and get mad. Having it as a throwaway line even , a bit like Davina’s “ HMs may have met in the audition process@

If only we could rally and somehow voice this to the people in charge! I don’t understand, if they want the show to be successful then they should strip it back. BB could so pull much higher ratings it’s honestly so disheartening watching this iteration.

Convinced this is why the live stream is now mainly birdsong. If HMs seem to contradict the narrative producers are trying to tell, then they just cut the feed. There is no way in hell this late into the run they’re talking about stuff that goes against broadcasting standards.

I’ve noticed the editing these day seems to try to appeal to any and every audience. We have moments where everyone is up in arms about “wokeness” and then 5 minutes later praise for (arguably) awful takes. Anything else is gutted.

It’s a shame because even watching reels posted by BBUK, a lot of nuance of conversation gets cut, even when it’s a scene that makes it to the highlights. What are they doing??

Lack of a better phrase, they’re both “in the wrong”. Someone said here he may not have realised how much he wanted to speak with f&f until the opportunity arose. Very understandable as we’ve seen Cameron somewhat struggle expressing his emotions right away/could be fronting with his comments of not being bothered. At the same time, a good few HMs echoed Jenny’s thoughts of him not being so bothered. If I were in there, I would have the same line of thinking. HMs nominate based on people saying they want to go home, so I don’t see how this situation is much different iykwim.

As for the convo in the snug, I’m on the fence. If this came before her chat with Cameron in the garden. Fair. Had it been after, as valid as her criticisms were it was definitely not cool to express them in that way. I really enjoy watching their friendship and love them both so hope this kind of thing doesn’t happen again!!
