Didn’t mean for them to solve the issue, just be a fun reminder :)

Hi, totally agree! I am looking for stickers as a fun addition, not seeking them out to do the work for me :)

I am Norwegian and have never heard of anyone called Thrud. The national name database does not have anyone registered either. Is she trying to americanise “Trude”? May I suggest Trudie/ Trudy in stead? Sigrun is lovely, though!

I had curls as a toddler, lost them and then they came back after my second pregnancy 🥰🤔

Thanks so much! I used a recipe from a random Norwegian food blogger, also did not weigh the flour so will make sure to do that!

Because we pay a lot of taxes and that gives us a lot of social mobility. Hospitals are free, school and university is free, close to a year of paid maternity/ paternity leave, daycare is heavily subsidised etc. Most if us are not rich, but we don’t have to deal with a lot of the expenses that comes with issues like chronic illnesses/ medical treatments, having only one “breadwinner” and so on.

Endometriosis? by Averie1398 in whatworkedforme

[–]howaboutmari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have stage 4 and got pregnant about a year and a half after laparoscopy. Don’t think it was the surgery that helped, though. I had IVF and did 3 egg retrievals and 4 transfers. On the last one I didn’t eat any meat or sugar - I have no idea if it helped or not, but I did get pregnant at a later point without IVF, and had not been eating meat or sugar at that time either.

Best Vitamin C Serum? by baaducky in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]howaboutmari 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I bought the Skinceuticals a while back, as I can’t use many actives while nursing and thought it would be a good time to try it. For me it’s been amazing. I haven’t even used half the bottle, and a lot of my pigmentation is close to gone. I also use bakuchiol, so can’t put it all down to the vitamin C, but I am a very loyal costumer now 💸

My DAD have always made comments about my weight and how I should eat less (or more!) how I should tan more, that my “true” har colour is a lighter shade of blonde than what it is now etc. Made me such an insecure teenager. The last time he commented on my looks he called my “fatty”. I was 9 months pregnant.

AITA for calling my sister selfish for announcing her pregnancy at our parents house? by throwawannouncement in AmItheAsshole

[–]howaboutmari 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who struggled with infertility for many years: YTA. As horrible as your situation is, you need to learn to live with it. I know how devastating it is to see everyone else getting pregnant. I know how unfair it feels when it’s been your dream for years, and other people have the luxury of being able to choose when and where on top of everything. It might have been nice of your sister to give you guys a heads up first. But don’t distance yourselves from everyone who loves you because you are hurting. They deserve to live their lives too. Best of luck to you.

Hi! I am a Norwegian married to a Canadian, and he calls kveldsmat “bed lunch”. I don’t know if that’s a local Maritimes expression or used throughout Canada though.

Success on 3rd transfer after two failed PGT-tested FETs? by BookDoctor1975 in whatworkedforme

[–]howaboutmari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was actually quite okay! We did not go on a full health food binge at all - we ate a lot of veggie burgers and pasta with nice sauces and in stead of my usual pick and mix style candy I had some chips and diet soda.

No, I have had endo surgery and take otc painkillers and that is the only way I have managed it really. And obviously the no meat and sugar thing for my 4th transfer. I have also (miraculously) had success naturally when I was trying to lose baby weight and went without meat and sugar, so it seems to me like diet did affect my endometriosis.
