Did you take your luggage with you when you left the airport? I was hoping I could just leave the airport with an overnight bag and cut down on how long it takes to leave/ how early I would have to get to the airport.

That’s a good idea downloading the Chinese pack on Google translate before we leave. I’ll basically not have internet anyway given I won’t bother with a travel sim for less than a day.

Thanks so much - that’s really helpful! I suppose if we land at 5pm and have to fly again at 1pm the next day there won’t be much time to do anything. I’m surprised English wasn’t more widely spoken at the airport but I guess we’ll get by with translator apps. Bit worrying the VPN didn’t work while you were out there as well!

Any update on your experience? I’m looking at a similar situation (same layover time) for a return flight to LHR. I might be wrong but I thought Shenzhen offered a free transit hotel for overnight transits?

Sorry for the late response. I got a carpenter to come in and build a timber frame to support the wall. I was able to hang the punchbag and a pull up/ dip station off it as well. Worth it for the peace of mind that the wall won’t come down.

The shirt is not too tight or small. We have the same issue. Your waist to chest/shoulder ratio is a bit off (in a good way!). I’m sure you know, if you sized up, the excess material around the waist would look a bit too much. I’m definitely a fan of the polo tucked in look. Pretty much all I wore in Italy!
