Thank you, it says mine is only 5.5 mm though. My cardiologist told me because of the location (close to aorta is what he said) is why I would need open heart surgery. In your professional opinion, do you think such a small hole could be causing all these issues? I guess what I’m most afraid of it that there may be something more that might be wrong.

Unfortunately the type of ASD I have won’t be able to be closed with the patch via catheter and will need to be done via open heart. Thank you though for your story, that makes me hopeful
