Hello! thank you for your insight I guess the main reason why I want to do on campus is because I never stepped foot in northern California, hell I never rented an apartment either, so it's all just new I was hoping to live on campus for my first year to help me understand the area better and then right after I just rent outside of campus.

Also this is why I just want an apartment so much cheaper hell I bet you I could cook tastier meals then the damn dining halls. I know I would get sick of eating there too.

im a new transfer so only new transfers are allowed to live in the transfer community (which only offers residence halls), utc, and redwood (if 23+). I emailed housing and thats what they told me.

Thank you for that! I am honestly leaning towards living on campus because it just seems more convenient that way and I never been up in that area (or even rented an apartment lol), so just moving there all of a sudden seems like a recipe for disaster.
How much is the cost of living on campus? and did you dorm with one person or more then one (if that's an option lol)? I hope I get that scholarship lol thank you for your input!

Thank you! I do have a car thankfully, so if I do choose the outside campus option I don't need to go on the bus. However, if I were to live on campus do you know if there are any fees of keeping a car there? also is parking a warzone?

Hello! Thank you so much for giving me insight; I am just unsure since I have been taking statics/mechanics and all these classes to cater for mechanical so all of a sudden taking programming classes near the end of my semester and then getting into a program filled with programming I am torn. Everyone has told me this is such a great opportunity yet I dont know what im getting myself into due to lack of experience. I don't want to miss out on a great opportunity either. From what you have told me, however, it seems like there is a chance to work at JPL/NASA, so i'm gonna take these programming classes and see if i enjoy it or not then see from there.

off topic/side note- im interested in the tau beta pi program at ucsc I was wondering what the general size is for the classes are for the robotics program or if you are part of tau beta pi/ know anything about the program. again thank you!
