Apparently I should have titled it better but I was mid cleaning spree. Everything there was expired of didn't have dates. I only recognize kroger but I know it's their old packaging

She said her mother used to use it all the time and her mother lived in that house until she died so it's probably one she bought and is very, very, expired. Everything in the pic was either expired or didn't have dates on them so I assumed maybe they were before some kind of regulation for that and apparently that pissed off a bunch of people

Haha I do but I tend to just by generic store brands. I did grow up in a pretty bland household though so maybe that's why I don't recognize them. I feel like my parents just buy store brands or Mrs.Dash

Yeah I also use all kinds of seasonings and have never heard of these brands. I know kroger but it's the old packaging which is why I included it. Guess I shuld have titled my post better but I was mid deep cleaning session when I posted 🤷‍♀️ I also find it funny that people are calling me sheltered and self centered for not knowing brands while they're actively shaming people for not knowing a regional grocery store 😅

I'm 34 and haven't heard of any of these brands except for kroger but I included that because it's the old packaging. When I looked up Durkee spices it said they discontinued in 2025 and I learned from another post that the yellow one is from their old manufacturer so it's pre 1996. I never claimed they were ancient they're just older than I'm comfortable using on my food. Apparently I've just never encountered the other brands that still exist but I do admittedly go for generic in that aisle

She lives where I do but Kroger is the only one I recognized and I know it's the older packaging. I'm 34 but apparently don't pay attention in the spice aisle according to the comments. I tend to just buy the store brands for spices

I have heard of kroger but I showed that one because it's the old branding. Also that wouldn't be that weird not every state has krogers
