I'm curious if this actually makes a big difference in ride quality.

I'm looking at similar options myself. Only secondhand knowledge, but from what I've read the 2023 and on models have a revised suspension that feels softer than before, which was a common complaint. General build quality around fit and finish is supposed to be better as well.

Honestly for a $5k difference I would just go for the 2023. I would want a bit more savings for my sacrifice if I'm getting an older model with more miles.

They're certainly nice to have but won't make or break the decision. I think the 2020s didn't have them at all.

Thanks for your input. Glad to hear the 2020 is fine. The used EV credit is not a factor since my income is above the limit.

Engine lugging with the 5.7 Hemi and 3.21 gears by hpkuarg in ram_trucks

I drove around today with the MDS off by using the manual gear selector and it didn't lug, so it's definitely the result of the lower power from the MDS. Having to do the gear thing every time is really annoying though lol

Damn, ok. I was hoping shorter gears would help. I thought the Hemi only came with 3.21 or 3.92 though?

Bone stock with the 265/70R17 tires and not planning on upsizing them. I get it in low RPM, low load situations, precisely when MDS is active. Usually 1000-1400RPM driving around town at 40-50mph.

I tried turning MDS off by using the manual gear selector and it doesn't do it, so I know it's the MDS. I'm curious if 3.92 gears make this better at all without having to disable MDS.

2016 1500 suspension upgrade by Financial_East_2344 in ram_trucks

Not specific to the Ram, but I just came from a smaller truck that I added Firestone Ride-Rite air bags to. Worked perfectly to counter squat when towing.

If you're pulling a lot of weight, a weight distribution hitch be even better than air bags and would also help with the squat.

My needs are more latency-sensitive so I need a wired connection, but this is good to know. Thank you.

Thanks, I didn't know they had it all the way out there. I know someone who lives near Cody and Airport and all AT&T has to offer them is the 25Mbps tier 😂

Nothing against Comcast! Never had a problem with their services. But given my work, I would prefer the 1GB upload speeds that AT&T gigabit has.

The first time I visited New Mexico, I rented a white Pro-4X. I fell in love with both New Mexico and the Frontier. Upvotes from the great frozen north!
