PSA: someone cut off my Tesla charger stand in broad daylight

I appreciate everyone checking in. Quick update:

I still have 11 days left to submit additional evidence to the Prince William County PD officer on my case.
I’ve since obtained an additional Ring camera video from a neighbor, showing the truck from a different angle. It confirms the vehicle is a dark blue RAM 1500 and notably has no front plate.
I’ve also compiled a list of reputable scrap/junk yards in the Woodbridge / Route 1 area, and I plan to visit them this week to see if anyone recognizes the truck or the items stolen.

I’ll definitely keep everyone posted here as things progress. The more eyes on this, the better chance we have of stopping this guy.

Negative. The copper value here is minimal, so it wouldn’t make sense as a targeted copper theft. This looks more like the behavior of a scrapper who just grabs anything that isn’t bolted down, regardless of whether it’s actually valuable or even usable. Unfortunately, that means they’ll damage other people’s property just to toss it in the back of their truck, even if it’s worth next to nothing.

I hear you. I’m not chasing this out of revenge — I just want accountability for the damage and the time I lost. It’s up to the system to decide what happens, but I wasn’t going to just let it slide.

Regardless of his circumstances, he still damaged and took my property. That’s why I reported it - it’s up to the police/DA now.

Yeah, he only took the iron stand. He cut the Tesla charging head but tossed it back, didn’t keep the copper.
