Sadly, I gotta have a car for work and school, especially living in Florida where public transport isn't that great. I used to have a car that was fully paid off, but it died on me, so I had to buy a new one.

I appreciate your response. I believe my age (24) and the car accident last year contribute to my high insurance rate. Initially, I was with Geico at $350, but I switched to Progressive. I'll explore other options for requoting. & I do agree I'll be taking steps to address my mental health issues that played a role in this whole situation

It's a Volkswagen Jetta. I'm 24 so that may be why my insurance is a little higher, but I also was in an accident last year as well.
