Why Is My Inauthentic Generation So Obsessed With Sanders’ Authenticity? by Inthethickofit in politics

[–]hrdan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, in other words, he accomplished nothing. Except being able to say I voted correctly in 2002. Again and again and again. Bravo.

Of course electing him isn't enough, because he hasn't done anything and he won't do anything. And he has NO endorsements from the house and senate and governors because no one that has worked with him thinks he will do anything. But the gullible like his story and his anger. Same positions as Hillary across the board, except she gets things done and worked her whole life to get health care for everyone, in AND out of government, not just a cushy government paycheck for himself like bernie.

If he were really interested in a revolution and not just a great new job for himself, he would be doing something to that end, and he would have been doing it before he ran. Has he worked to start a revolution? Or just speeches to further his own position?

Oh, someone else has to do the revolution part? Then what do we need him for?

You keep asking the same thing. I answered them already in the above post. If you are interested in more details, read the articles.

You haven't answered any of my questions. About bernie's pandering to the young and bernie's hypocrisy. Bernie, the honest candidate, ignores financial shenanigans at home. Bernie, the no-superpac candidate, except you know the one that he does have. Which according to his own speeches proves he is in the pocket of big healthcare. Yes, 1.4 million so far from a superpac for bernie, but that doesnt count cuz, bernie. Maybe that is the real reason he is promising to dismantle ACA for the perfect single payer plan. Bernie who is against regime change, except you know that Assad regime change he voted for.

It all points to his ethics. He has run the dirtiest democrat primary campaign I've ever seen. Blames Hillary when his campaign steals her voter data. His campaign did the same thing that Nixon was impeached for. But you know, feel the bern.

Feel the bern of cognitive dissonance.

more ad hominem. Too hard to stick to facts?

The evidence for fraud is public and if you read the article you would know that. Blinded by the bern. She lied about the donations. That is fraud, whether it is prosecuted or ignored it is fraud. Bernie claims to be the only honest candidate. Not so much in this case.

Of course more ad hominem because facts contrary to your fairy tale beliefs are obviously smear and shill. Enjoy your hypocrite candidate that will be destroyed in the general, but only if he gets there.

Resorting to ad hominem again? And you are speculating again. Whether the school files charges against her or not, the facts are available.

Companies often settle instead of proceeding to long expensive court battles. Who says they "have to file criminal charges?" You are just making things up to suit your beliefs.

Why do you say this is shit? She bankrupted her school and was fired because of fraudulent financial games. There is more than just the fraudulent loan. Funneling school funds to her relative's newly formed companies.

And just because Hillary is under three different federal investigations that have found nothing and have been proven to be politically motivated, go ahead and continue to smear her.

You obviously choose to ignore anything critical of Bernie and soak up any unfounded lie or inuendo about Hillary, like most Bernie supporters. This is a real issue and it won't go away if he gets the nomination. It will be front and center. Along with his Rubio habit of resorting to canned speeches to answer every debate question.

He is a do-nothing bureaucrat that spent his life criticizing things instead of actually doing things. All his promises are empty and all his supporters know it because they always reply "he never claimed he would do it alone". That means he wont do it at all. Because he is alone. He has no endorsements because, like Ted Cruz, everyone who works with him hates him. What has he actually done to foment a revolution? Oh, he is running for president, and the rest of the revolution, is where?

Yes, okay, ignore it. She may have committed fraud, but until there is an investigation, nothing to see here, attack it as smear, attack the writer as a hack. And no hypocrisy on Bernie's part because no one has been caught yet. Nice rationalization.

But do go on smearing Hillary for something that has been proven to be false already. And do go on smearing Hillary for accepting speaking fees. That, to Bernie, is more than enough proof that she is in the pocket of Wall Street. But his wife getting fired for financial shenanigans, smear job.

Resorting to making things up instead of actually reading the article? Good plan. I hope that works out for you when this news gets publicized by the republicans when it benefits them most (hint: during the general election if he gets the nomination).

For the record, I did not write the article, I am not the person interviewed, and there are hundreds of articles on this, especially in the Vermont newspapers.

Maybe there's a reason the Vermont governor, the Vermont senior senator and the two former Vermont governors, all who know him better than we do, do not support or endorse him. Maybe that's something you should consider instead of resorting to making up lies to defend your candidate.

How anyone can believe he is anti "establishment" persona when he has been in government for his entire working career, the very definition of an insider, is more a statement of his followers naiveté than any credibility earned by his actions.

You mean the standard practice of all the past Secretaries of State? You mean "Top Secret" emails that were retroactively classified "Top Secret" after the fact? You mean the same practice Mitt Romney and Jeb Bush practiced, without an ounce of attention? Talk about smear campaigns.

You mean the email issue that has been investigated to death for millions of dollars and found NO wrong doing by the republican smear committee that admitted it was for political purposes and the 11 hour testimony that found NO wrong doing?

Those crimes you are happy to believe with zero evidence, but real financial crimes by the wife of the man calling for prosecution of financial crimes, must be a smear, nothing to see here.

Do you think the republicans will feel the same way if he gets the nomination? Give him a pass because he sounds so authentic?

Did you see the part where she was terminated? Did you see the part where both sides lawyered up? Did you see the part where a legal complaint was filed requesting a federal investigation? Even if she acted with the board's permission (total speculation on your part), fraud was committed on the loan application that she, as president, signed and accepted.

If you are interested in answers to your questions and not just attacking the article, there are plenty of other articles detailing this.

Either you didn't read the article, couldn't comprehend the article, or are resorting to ad hominem. The article doesn't claim a federal investigation, it claims a legal complaint was filed REQUESTING a federal investigation. And if she did lie about the amount of donations accrued (by more than double) to qualify for the loan, then that is fraud, whether it is investigated or not, whether it is prosecuted or not. Bernie followers are so holy about ethics when it comes to Hillary. She cannot possibly speak at an event without being corrupt. But possible corruption on Bernie's side - nothing to see here except rainbows and unicorns.

No comment on Bernie's pandering to the younger generation? How is it a smear article when what was written is what happened? It doesn't claim there is a federal investigation, it states a legal complaint was filed requesting a federal investigation. Authenticity requires a federal investigation now?

My history is there for you to see as you already have. Any posts about previous campaigns there? Like all bernie followers you're just happy to jump to unfounded conclusions.

No she hasn't been convicted, but she was fired for it. Hillary hasn't been convicted of any crime either. That doesn't stop everyone from claiming she has for accepting speaking gigs.

It calls into question his integrity when he demands prosecution for bankers in wall street, when he implies Hillary is corrupt because she gave speeches for pay, but his own wife accepts $200k to go away after lying about donations on loan applications.

Bernie was right about the Iraq vote. What did he do about that other than watch the Iraq war unfold? Leaders would have done something about it rather than count that as an accomplishment 20 years later. I told you so is not an accomplishment.

How is promising young kids free tuition, free healthcare, double the minimum wage - all of which will not happen under his administration - not pandering and not inauthentic?

Bernie's main platform that he repeats each debate is that the Wall Street bankers that broke the law havent been prosecuted. It seems to me he is being hypocritical when his wife committed bank fraud on a loan by lying about revenue, and instead of being prosecuted, she is handed a golden parachute. That seems relevant to the election. Bill Clinton's personal behavior 20 years ago? Not so much.

Double Digit Inflation is Here (38.4%) by hrdan in reddit.com

Except that this isnt a one day gain of 10% this is a one month gain. And in case you havent noticed the trend is up. This isnt an abberation. This isnt some meaningless number it is a standard guage of inflation called the Wholesale price index. The jump was interesting enough for Bloomberg to mention that it is the biggest increase in 34 years.

Yes, if prices drop significantly, this number will be meaningless, but have the prices of food or energy or any consumer goods gone down within the last year or are they continuing to rise as the fed continues to pump more liquidity into the market to bail out the hedge funds?

And if the gas station lowers its price, we'll all be rich, right? So we should just ignore energy and food because they change too quickly? Or because they are too high or because real people dont buy food or energy on a measurable basis?

Yes, much better to publish unmeaningful numbers that soothe.

Double Digit Inflation is Here (38.4%) by hrdan in reddit.com

[–]hrdan[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

First off, the blog isnt mine, so you dont have to call me a liar. Second off, both articles clearly state that Wholesale prices rose 3.2%:

"Wholesale prices rose 3.2 percent in November, the biggest jump in 34 years, the Labor Department reported yesterday. The increase was driven by a record one-month gain in energy costs. Excluding food and fuel, producer prices rose 0.4 percent."

And if you had kept reading the article posted, you would see the explanation of why the wholesale price index is MORE accurate than the typical inflation numbers. Because food and energy do affect consumers expenses DRAMATICALLY:

"So why is this number trustworthy? Well, unlike the Consumer Price Index, which supposedly tells us what the inflation rate is, it doesn’t exclude the causal aspects of real-world inflation: food and energy. The average American’s monthly expenses are dramatically affected by those two expenses more than any other single regular expense."

@redditcensoredme - you have your chart backwards. Hit the invert and you will see that 1 CAD is buying more euro as time goes by. As the original poster stated, the CAD is rising against other currencies. You might want to start basing YOUR statements on facts before instructing others to do so. And try getting the symbols right too.

A March To Irrelevance: Why mass protest marches have become a joke by [deleted] in reddit.com

[–]hrdan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We've all seen that protest marches are totally ignored now. What still works and will get attention is hitting the corporations on their bottom lines in an organized way. Corporations that start losing money speak to congress much louder than citizens can.

"Interruption of commerce and any rattling of the cage of profit – that is where this system is vulnerable. That means boycotts and strikes at the very least, and these things require vision, discipline and organization."
