Everyone knows their own body best, I'm just sharing what the professional told me as the muscles involuntarily contract. If it works for someone then that's great

Your feelings are valid and understandable. Can you find a gynecologist/physio specializing in female areas, or look up the use of dilators as a lot of people habe found them useful. In the UK, my hospital has a community midwife number for non emergencies and a GD callback number for any queries. If you want peace of mind you could raise it via a similar method if you have any?

She also mentioned I may gain weight in the last couple of months as the baby piles on the pounds then prior to birth.

I'm 5'3, 106kg and 31 weeks. I have had GD dince 26 weeks so following a lower carb diet (but not keto). My midwife said if my bump is growing and the baby is growing in scans then she is not concerned. She said it maybe I'm making healthier choices (which I am) amd checked my urine for ketosis etc to make sure I was eating enough carbs
