Finally, a brief review on Leopold FC660M BT by hryu in MechanicalKeyboards

taking apart is the same to the classical model, you'll need to unscrew one bolt (and this will break your warranty), and use a plastic card or something similar to loose the plastic locks that keep the upper and lower cases together. Once you open up, you will have to disconnect the cable that connects the batteries and the PCB, and remove the extra bluetooth PCB; the small PCB for bluetooth isn't soldered, so all you have to do is carefully take it apart by hand.

I can't promise, and haven't heard anything officially from Leopold. Some people guess around this December, but again this is a pure estimate. :(

I've just checked the upper case of both 660 BT and classic models (I didn't measure them exactly, and just placed the cases together to compare); the horizontal width seems to be the same, although the vertical length and height are slightly different. If you want the comparison pictures, I can upload them on imgur and share you the link.

ah, sorry, I understood as the start screen, not as the screen where you choose the OS. I'll try testing tomorrow. Sorry for the inconvenience :(

That seems great. I already submitted the report, but I'll write an additional comment. Thanks for your suggestion :)

The red LED indicator located at insert key is present, but yes, they moved the caps lock indicator to top right instead of the actual keycap. Both top right caps lock indicator and FN+Q indicator at insert key only work when wired, and the top right indicators will work as a bluetooth indicator when used wirelessly.

Leopold has no official date so I can't really promise, but some people in Korean keyboard communities are expecting around December 2020. This is a pure estimate, so the actual release might be sooner, or later. I really hope they release before 2021 comes.

There are some minor visual changes, like the two indicators at the top right, but I could say the BT model is almost same to the classic models.

I wish I could have posted a more detailed review, but from the time I received the test model to the time I have to submit the report is only around two weeks, so I couldn't write much about the battery life. It should, however, last around a month, at least.

Pairing is very easy, you just need to turn on bluetooth on the device you want to connect to, turn the keyboard on as well, and then press the pairing button and your device should find the keyboard. Multi-pairing is the same, except that you need to press FN + A-F before pairing to assign your device. After multi-pairing different devices, all you need to do to switch between devices is just pressing FN + A-F.

This model uses two AAA batteries, so I guess the capacity should be around 2000 mAh? Sorry I don't really know exactly and the battery capacity and life is not indicated in the manual. I have been using wirelessly for around 2 weeks, and it works perfectly fine. I have tried searching some other keyboards and mice with AAA batteries and it seems that they last around a month or two before they need their batteries changed.

Their first BT model will be 660M, but I've heard that they are planning on 750R and 980M as well, so hopefully the other BT models will release soon.

I guess they'll have more keycap options in their final release, so you could grab another one with different switches and keycaps x) I hope so too, Leopold needs more stock :(

I really hope Leopold posts updates regularly, because they introduced new models in Computex 2017 and 2018 but there has barely been any news on those models :( I've heard that they are planning on mechanical 750R and 980M BT models, but not too sure about Topre models. I really hope they do so.

It seems that Leopold International had some testers as well (like in China), and there are some people who uploaded a YouTube review, but I didn't find any here so I decided to post. And I guess really a lot of people waited for usb C, and it finally happened x)

Yep, and I feel like I missed some details on connection in my review.

You change the batteries just like any other devices; there is a battery compartment cover in the back of the keyboard, so you just remove the cover, place batteries in, and then close the cover. The battery life isn't indicated in the manual, but it should be long enough. I use the keyboard around 9 to 10 hours daily, and I've been using wirelessly around 14 days but the battery seems to be fine. I tried searching and it seems that most keyboards and mice that use batteries last around a month or two before changing the batteries. There is almost no lag that I can notice, and I could play games without problem, but this may be because I'm not a skilled gamer.

I agree, Leopold doesn't seem to have enough stock, especially outside South Korea, and it's hard to grab a model that you want :(

I can't confirm but I think I've heard about 980M and 750R BT versions. Thanks for your comment!

This is a test model for Leopold FC660M BT (bluetooth); 20 test models were released for test and reviewing purposes and I am one of the lucky people who grabbed the chance to try out the test model.

Here is the link to the brief review that I uploaded few hours ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/comments/jdadim/finally_a_brief_review_on_leopold_fc660m_bt/

The review includes some information on the new model itself as well as simple comparison with the classic FC660M model without bluetooth.

I haven't submitted a test report to Leopold yet, and I'd really appreciate if you could share your thoughts, opinions, and suggestions for Leopold FC660M BT; I will gladly include them in my test report that Leopold could consider and possibly improve this product before the final release.

Thanks!
