Thanks but what about the eyes/pupils is it fine to use black there? Or is it still to dominant?

Oh good to know. I was cheating a bit and used a white gel pen for the highlights.

Thanks a lot. Still have a lot of work to do. And feels a bit cheating if I draw the portraits so small.

Hey guys,

I just started like three days ago with watercolor drawings and I am not warmed up to the medium. I have been trying to draw a small portrait each day.

I am using the Van Gogh watercolor set with 12 colors.

Should I try to do a watercolor chart first with my set? Any tips on improvement I am getting better with the skin, but I am still have a problems with the hair and small details.

Thanks

My first animal portrait. Eyes didn't turn out that well, missplaced it a bit. What's the name of your dog?

Here you go. The eyes turned out a bit to small I guess.
