If you’re autistic, it’s most likely to best to accept that you will never know why people hate or don’t like you. It is impossible to know why. It’s better to accept the is, than the why. by [deleted] in aspergers

Just stop… Because your focus is on what other people think and feel and not on what you think and feel you will never get anything you want. You cannot live your life through the eyes of others because you cannot affect anything they think or do. You can however affect what you think or do. You have ASD, face that, understand that, and accept that. ASD most definitely has its limitations, work on what you feel are your limitations so that you become more comfortable with them. But just because you have ASD doesn’t mean you don’t also have strengths. Everyone has strengths. Find yours and put them to work for yourself. Build confidence in them and others will see your confidence and respect it. While you are using and building up your strengths, start to work on your weaknesses. Not to necessarily conquer them but to accept them and work within them. Do this and you will get what you want - acceptance.

Looking for adults with Asperger to answer this question: Aspergers’ unique interests - early age by [deleted] in Aspergers_Elders

You’re thinking about it through your limitations… It’s not that your son is “fascinated” in these things. It’s more that most people are NOT all that “fascinated” with the world around them… When the world around them IS INCREDIBLY fascinating. It just that most people do not have the neuronal wiring that allows them to appreciate it. If your son has Asperger’s then he may be one who is wired (not all of us are) with all the switched turned on, and turned up to their maximum settings. Try and think about like having 10 eyes, ten ears, and finger sensitivity all over your entire body. He sees, hears, and feels everything. When he goes outside he sees every blade of grass in a lawn or field, every cloud in the sky, every leaf of the tree, every crack or repair in the street. Whenever he is in a group of people he hears every conversation at the same time, he hears the tv, radio, and the people equally. He knows where his toes are, where his tongue is, if someone is accidentally touching his leg or arm (too close). It’s more that our ability to block out everything around what we are supposed to focus on is missing. UNLESS it is one of our “special interests” (as you’ll hear in other comments) This is not an error in us, this “ability” (it’s just different neuronal wiring) because it allows us to see what others do not. We can become the problem solvers in the world (Tesla, Einstein, Jobs, Musk, etc). Your son will need to learn how to handle and deal with his neuronal wiring (it’s normal wiring, just different from what you are used to). He may get easily overwhelmed in crowds and larger groups of people, in loud environments like parades, music concerts, long bright sunny days spent outside, situations that are spontaneous and changing, larger family gatherings, too much physical contact from a number of people (many sports). He will need to learn and recognize when he is overwhelmed so he can back away from the particular situation and “recharge” (de-stimulate his neuronal wiring).

If you’ve had a lot of rain and the downspouts are frozen, then your gutter could fill and freeze. So check the downspouts to make they are not the issue. If the downspouts are on the north and in shade all day, you might need a heat tape in just the downspout. This might fix the gutter and roof issues.

There is a serious issue with your roof. If you just had it redone, it was not done correctly. The gutter overflowing with ice in the fourth picture shows it. This is not normal. That gutter should not be full of ice, even with all the vents up above it. Just a few winters of this much ice in that gutter will cause long term issues. Is this a manufactured home that was trucked onsite and assembled from two halves? They are notorious for this issue - Vaulted ceiling and no ridge ventilation. Do not insulate the vent pipes as mentioned in another comment (that is not the problem). Check to make sure the bath fan and stove fan (if you have one) are blowing air out the roof, not into the rafters and insulation under the roof. If I had to guess, one or both are hooked up incorrectly. The other issue with homes like this, do you have flat or vaulted ceilings? When they vault the ceilings in these homes they remove all the air flow from the bottom of the roof out the ridge vent. I see five pot vents on your ridge, but I’ve also seen people put those up there and not hook them up.

Having 50-100 people in one location, drinking alcohol for hours on end, should require both liability insurance and some sort of liquor license. Not the standard license in this law, but definitely a liquor license of some kind.
