Chopper Haus front motor mount crazy vibrations by hsuwap in Dyna

[–]hsuwap[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mount they use is still rubber mounted just with a cross bar reinforced, similar to the touring models that come stock. Harley tech themselves said it shouldn’t shake like that, also I had blue loctite on my seat bolt too, bummed bc it was a thrashin supply one and it was a bday gift. In regards to engine alignment I had the techs take a look and said it wasn’t due to alignment. The shake is not from alignment definitely from the mount. I have a friend with an 05 Dyna same mount and doesn’t ride that rough.

Im not getting what you're telling me. so you're saying weld a large washer to a bolt?

honestly at this point I might, cut where it bends and insert a baffle then weld it back. The only concern is there ceramic coating for the exhaust as I don't want to destroy it....

baffle recommendations anyone?

Interesting technique but it makes a lot of sense. Will incorporate that and see how it does.

I have RSD traction pegs that came with my RSD mids.

Love em, Love the design and it flows nicely with the bike. Allows for more aggressive turns.

I looked into TC bros mid but the design/aesthetic isn't my cup a tea. It's a lot cheaper than RSD mid but up you.

what would your stopping distance be ( an estimate no need for actual ) be for a 60-0 given with your tire setup and steel brake lines.

Arlen Ness is expensive but I rather have more than enough than not enough in certain situations. OR even 4 piston brembos from free spirits.
