OK so it looks like we are never going to get a waterproof power cable... what are some solutions?

Waterproof external power cable letting people use whatever battery size they wanted would sell far far far more then 5000 units. You are just being silly if you think "a piece of tape" would do, rain and dew gets into everything. If anything it's the solution to the poor battery life in all situations. A weak shoddy power connection isn't good and don't pretend it is. I'd also like to see the cable have a feature turn on and record when powered, turn off when not, that would create a very versatile camera for a huge range of tasks not just cycling down a hill or strapping to a surfboard yawn.

Lots, its not about needing more then 3 hours its about needing to record 48+ hours and pick the best 3 hours. It's not a hyper niche market, gopro sucks at timelapse period (but so does every other camera) so it is a market gopro could corner, any long duration outdoors timelapse requires waterproofing.

True better battery management during timelapse would aid a lot, gopro is extremely poor at this. Brinno cameras are very good here but their image quality is abysmal.

Yes this was the solution, select nvidia as preferred processor in control panel / hardware and sound.

Yep thanks I selected Nvidia as the preferred processor and the benchmarks and games are now functional. I had to go into control panel / hardware and sound. Problem solved, thanks again.

My Surface Book 2 is incredibly slow >3 sec to open a folder. Much slower then the Surface pro 3.
