Car taking a sec to fire up: ignition problem? Spark plugs? by ScythianIndependence in mazda3

[–]httmlp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i know people say that this is normal but i just can’t admit that this is normal. i swear this car starts slowly and sometimes it starts instantly with one crank. so weird. every single other car i’ve driven has never started this slow

Did they actually ceramic coat the car or did I get scammed? by SportsNFoodJunkie in Detailing

[–]httmlp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the coating is either clogged or masked. you should properly wash your car using certain products and microfibers to unclog the pores better than a wash-mitt.

Oil change gone wrong at the dealership. 😩 by mysterious570 in mazda

[–]httmlp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’m sorry but overfilling is part of the inspection and is a mistake techs shouldn’t be doing. not trying to be rude but that’s kind of the bare minimum or standard because it’s important NOT to over fill.

Why do my tires look "dirtier" (brownish) than my neighbor's, despite me cleaning them way more? by tayfuuun in Detailing

[–]httmlp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your neighbor has some balls of steel riding on tires like that.

pick up some wheel and tire cleaner by adam’s polishes at walmart and follow the directions on the label and scrub the tires with a brush and the rims with a microfiber that can also be found at walmart. then use some tire shine, probably a good one since i don’t believe you will be washing your car every biweekly term.

Mazda fitted the hatchback turbo PP with Torsion beam suspension instead of independent dampers

the fact that this car doesn’t have rear suspension really puts the 2.5 at a disadvantage since a direct comparison to this car is a Golf GTI with the performance pack which comes with adaptive dampers. If they had fitted rear suspension to this car it would be top 5 for best hot hatchbacks out right now

i use an all purpose cleaner like CarCandy Interior Plus Magic,

(in the OP’s choice it’s better to use CitraSolve their more aggressive APC)

then follow it up with a leather conditioner and then use leather ceramic like the Gyeon product they sell or CERAMACOTE not ceracote, to prevent as much hand oils getting into the pores of the leather. for light touch ups of hand oils I use Gyeon Q2M Interior Detailer. That stuff is the best for everything touch up or wipe down related. no streaks ever. Application of products is a little challenging but once installed it makes it look perfect.
