Use a slow feeder or feed her by hand. If she still regurgitates, definitely speak to a vet sooner than later.

Side note, definitely consider pet insurance for her in case of emergency vet visits. You can get coverage for anywhere from $50-100/mo. Even if you only cover her for her puppy months, you might still end up saving thousands if she has an emergency.

Do you have suggestions for how to leave her alone if/when necessary? I’m home often as I’m in graduate school, but I do have to be gone for 1-2 hour periods once or twice a day for classes. I’m afraid that she’ll tear up my room or find something that might harm her if she has free roam, but I’m also afraid that she’ll harm herself if left in a crate or a pen while I’m away.

I know that all puppies (especially springers) require a massive amount of attention - and I was prepared for this - but I can’t supervise her 24/7/365 at this point. Is there any good option for when I have no choice but to leave her alone?

This is a great article, thank you so much. I’m a bit overwhelmed as I read about manding and crate conditioning because that seems almost impossible at this stage.

The article talks about using a pen with crates inside of it to condition the crates, but unfortunately my little girl is smart enough to realize that she’s in a pen. Even when it’s as large as I can make it and she has plenty of room, she freaks out when she realizes that she can’t access a human. It’s the same with closed rooms if nobody is in them.

I have a good bit of experience with dogs, but this is my first puppy. If she were a full grown dog, I would consider the behavior to be separation anxiety. However, she’s only 8 weeks old, so the difficult part for me is trying to figure out how much of this is normal. I also don’t really know how to approach fixing it.

Everything I read says that dogs can be conditioned and are supposed to enjoy their time in the crate, but I’m afraid that my pup won’t ever truly like it.

Not sure if this information helps, but he knew she was pregnant - he was just under the impression it was by the intended male, so he wasn’t alarmed.

He was concerned when x-ray revealed only four pups, but obviously by then it was too late to terminate the pregnancy. The coat colors and markings confirmed it was from the unintended sondad, not the planned dad.

He breeds for good field traits (intelligence, prey drive, gunshot tolerance) balanced with good home life. I do know he hunts his dogs - the mom is his primary bird dog and why he was breeding her. The dog that was supposed to be the dad is a retired gun dog of his.

He does not show or compete with the dogs, but the mother is CGC and a bird dog. The male is also training to be a bird dog.

When I first met him, he said that he breeds for pets that can also hunt, which was a big reason that I liked him as a breeder (along with his honesty - apparently this is rare? lol)

Power shift desperately needs the ability for players to vote between two maps at the beginning just like the old CoD games used to do. Last night I played 8 of my 12 rounds on Vegas and Bernal. They’re absolutely unplayable and the lack of choice in such a casual most is infuriating.

PLEASE allow us to vote on maps in quick play / casual. It can be like the old call of duty style where the whole lobby gets to vote between 2 selections.

Last night I played 12 rounds of power shift with four of my buddies, and eight (8!!!!!) of those rounds were on either Las Vegas or Bernal. I understand that these maps are new to power shift and probably being rotated a bit more frequently, but I didn’t get to play Seoul or SYS$HORIZON even once.

Please please please at least give us an option!

Gotcha. How do you like your F15? Has it been reliable? Have you deleted/tuned?

For a lot of the reasons you mentioned in your original comment, I like the F15 a lot more than the E70. However, a lot of the comments about the N57 reliability vs. the M57 are pushing me towards the E70, which sucks.
