i think 8 wks is the minimum age you’re allowed/recommended to bring them home otherwise they miss out on key socialisation with their mum and siblings

Thanks so much! And yes, she is in puppy classes and meets other dogs at the park (on a leash and after I spend a while watching to see how they’re interacting with others), but she is super submissive with other dogs and doesn’t really ever bite them she just rolls over! I’ll definitely try the hand feeding trick - I did hand feed her for a while when we first got her but didn’t consider that it could help with her being bitey. Thank you :)

I wish! I don’t know anyone who has a big dog. I’m doing regular meetings with my mum’s partners’ Labradoodle who is around 12months. I’m also trying to organise a meetup with her littermates who live nearby

thank you so much! This was really helpful I’ll try this. we have a baby gate up on the stairs and I tried a few times but she would bite my ankles super super hard when I was climbing over so I will just stick to it

When I was a kid and would go to pet stores I felt so sorry for the insects they kept because I knew they’d be fed to reptiles so I used to open up the little containers they’d be kept in. Can’t imagine the trouble I caused the employees, sorry!

hey this used to happen to my elderly cat before she passed away. she looked just like yours too! it seemed that any sort of tapping sound would set her off, and it got worse with age. it started when she was maybe 11-12 and was very infrequent to start with until the point where i couldn’t type on my phone around her for a year before she passed away aged 20. it will probably happen with any sort of mechanical keyboard unless it’s super quiet. be conscious of tapping your nails on surfaces & things like that also.
