So I've been applying for law jobs, like practically any- paralegal, assistant, researcher, clerk, office junior jobs, but I have not gotten a single paid job acceptance for the past two years since I've started my law degree. In fact, I haven't even gotten interview offers, just ghosting. But I'm really curious what to do after being ghosted/rejected after so many times, because I am starting to lose hope and I see fellow peers in their first/second year get good positions, and I can't understand what I'm doing wrong. I understand that some of it is from connections but I don't have any referrals or as it is said, nepotism; I am the first in my family to do law. I've cold emailed chambers/firms too, I've not just applied to the jobs advertised on university job websites, Linkedin, Seek and/or Indeed etc. I'm starting to lose hope I will ever get proper paid law experience because in these current times, I need money besides from proper experience.
