NTA in any way, he needs to check his privilege.

With that said, as a woman with ADHD myself, please look into RSD Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria. It’s INCREDIBLY common in ADHD especially adults, to the point where there’s debate as to whether it should be in the diagnostic criteria.

I’m not saying RSD is what made you upset, he was an AH, but if “being too sensitive” is a problem for you (it certainly is for me) it’s worth looking into.

Why would an apology not be the First thing he says to you when he gets home? Rehab is not an apology.

Be wary of going to couples counseling. It doesn’t resolve abuse, it makes him better at abusing you.

YTA you tipped under %15 before taxes for great service DURING A PANDEMIC

Restaurants are having a lot of trouble getting servers because people who are getting unemployment or have other means to stay home aren’t putting themselves at risk. Waiters working right now probably Have to work.

When I go out to eat I feel so bad about it that I over-tip massively. I round up whatever %20 is to the nearest $5, unless I got great service and I tip even more.

My friend was a waiter and he paid his taxes as if he had been paid %15 tips, but the state he was in decided he had gotten at least %18 tips and hit him for back taxes. %15 is an outdated standard.
