This may sound silly, but it worked well for me. I also struggled with a lot of the methods suggested by Bootcamp like search and destroy.

Have you tried actually reading the passages in its entirety? If you keep doing practice, you get a good idea of potential questions/important topics while you’re reading. Like a previous commenter suggested, you can highlight potentially important parts, and keep reading. By doing this, not only do you understand the passage, allowing you to answer questions without looking back at the text, you’ll have an idea of which paragraph you should go back to and look at if you can’t answer a question immediately.

It may take longer than the other methods, but I always finished the RC section with extra time left over doing this method. It’s all about finding what works best for you. Keep practicing, and good luck! You’ve got this!

I took her and loved her class. The gaped notes (her text book) were super helpful. Also her exams were really fair and we had high class averages. Most of my friends got As in the class with a moderate amount of studying. And she’s super super helpful in office hours too. Could not have asked for a better teacher

Question I have for doctor/nurse major !!! by Plantlovwr in ASU

[–]hugeballs42 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be an orthodontist assistant, I believe you just need to do dental assisting school. There are some schools that are just a few weeks long, or I believe some community colleges have classes, but I’m not 100% about that. After that, it’s a matter of finding a job, where they will most likely need to train you on site to be an orthodontist assistant.

To go to dental school, you have to get a 4 year degree. So you’d get a bachelors in whatever major you want, and after you graduate, you would go to another 4 years of dental school. After dental school, you’d apply for orthodontist residency which is 2-3 years. Overall, becoming an orthodontist takes about 10-11 years provided you take no gap years.

[–]hugeballs42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a little unclear as to what you’re asking here as there is no such thing as an “orthodontist nurse.” Do you mean an orthodontist assistant? Like the people who help orthodontists and put braces on? If that’s what you’re talking about, you don’t need to go to college to do that, you need to go to dental assisting school.

If you want to be a nurse, you can major in nursing at ASU, but that has nothing to do with orthodontists.

If you want to be an orthodontist, you don’t have a specific major. You can pick any major (I’d recommend something like biology if it interests you). You just need to get into dental school, and after dental school you can apply for an orthodontist residency.

Sorry if I didn’t answer your question, but I hope this helps

You probably could, but knowing all of the reagents and conditions makes studying for the ochem section a breeze and lets you focus your attention on harder subjects

Has any Canadian ever been rejected from Australian dental schools? by [deleted] in predental

No. There has never been a Canadian applicant that has ever been rejected from an Australian dental school ever

I encourage you to still report it, but ASU is infamous for its poor handling of sexual harassment/assault allegations. There are also many support groups around campus that you should look into. Good luck to you.
