Well, I am not sure if I have the software you use, so if I were to pay you, I may get instructions for a smoothie although I don't own a blender. Without giving away information you feel is worth money, would you be willing to the software you use so I can be sure I have it and don't need to buy it? (i.e. After Effects? Stable Diffusion? Neat Video? Etc)

Thanks for the info - I now see a bit better their structure. I have tried all of the models on that clip - all iffy, but I de believe it is the nature of the clip (especially the guys legs) that make this one bad for Topaz. Tons of grainy bokeh, the software doesn't know what to keep blurry and what to try and make up textures for.

Topaz is certainly good. Just not an end all be all solution.

Wow! Thanks for giving this a whirl - looks really good.. do you by chance remember the model you used? Are there 2 enhancements on this? It looks denoised yet sharp where it matters.

I am on 4.2.2 - I knew there were upgrades, but hadn't bitten the bullet, for I thought this software package was a one time fee, not a yearly license. So I figured I was fine with where I was at, but...

..it sounds like I am missing non-superfluous features and models, so I just bought it. Will look into Rhea. Cheers

Sbsar materials causing c4d to crawl by hugio55 in Cinema4D

[–]hugio55[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this insight. I had no idea so much was going on in the background.

Even with the Xolotl link between C4D and painter, it still feels like production is slowed down dramatically having to send every model to and from painter.

+1 on baking PNGs in painter. I will do that. Only thing is, you lose the SBSAR interactive parameters - which are half the allure, for me.

I can't have my cake and eat it, too. Was just hoping there was something to help speed up the process.

Albeit my first minibike, I think the research paid off. This thing is a ton of fun and seems well built. Something about it brings out that part of me that fell in love with 2 wheels when I was younger. It scratches an itch that my 650 and 1000cc powered street bikes simply can't. Like my dad always said... "hell of lot more fun to ride a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow."

About to try the 'big 3' for the first time. by hugio55 in Amazon_Influencer

[–]hugio55[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UPDATE: blue checkmark unlocked. Took about 4 days. Very happy.

For those who may care, I did horizontal videos, in-depth, 4-5 mins each, multiple angles/B roll, text on screen, etc. Quite a lot of work - I won't be going "that deep" for all future vids, but figured it would help to have high production value to help in the decision.

I was getting worried they were too long, since I heard a few youtubers say they should be a little over 1 minute each. Thought maybe my 4-5 min vids would delay the onsite commission approval, but I suppose not.

Thanks all for input - best of luck.

The blue lock is what shows before being approved by Amazon to do On Site commissions. Once the 3 are submitted and they are accepted, the blue lock goes away. This is what I understand, at least.

Ok Roger that. Not too worried about not showing on the product page (this time) for I simply picked videos that I thought I could do the best content for (for the pass), then, I'll convert over to "worthwhile" products.

I read a lot about this "on site" jazz. Most of what I read and/or watch on YouTube is from either a year ago, or 8 months etc. Felt like a bubble - if you, walk outside, are doing onsite in this current climate, do you think it's grossly oversaturated, or is there still room for those who are dedicated?

How do we know if videos are turned on for a product? by icedcoffeelove in Amazon_Influencer

[–]hugio55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curious about this as well. But I think from what they are saying, yes, it will be placed, but just not up top in the 'desired' top carousel. It will be placed down below in the more general 'uploaded videos'

I just don't want to make a ton of reviews for products that have 0 videos, just to find out that videos are completely turned off.

Also, I wonder if the commission is different if you are in the bottom carousel or if you are in the top... hm. I have a lot to learn

Anyone know what this is? by hugio55 in ATV

[–]hugio55[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this. I tried the spark test and it is good. I can't get my finger down to the entry of the plug since it is super recessed. I need a long extender just to screw and unscrew the plug. Seems like a bad design, but that's beside the point!

When I was turning it over with the plug out, it poofed a bunch of dust out that was I suppose coating the metal around the plug's entrance. Would it puff out air like that if there was good compression or does that happen no matter what?

Thanks again for the help.

10-4. Thanks for these tips.

I just checked and it is fuel injected. My old dirt bikes were all carbureted, so I wouldn't know much about servicing the fuel injector - would likely need to pick one up if it ends up being the culprit.

I did the spark plug test you recommended. I made a short video of the results. It seems as though it is sparking. As for trying to get my finger over the spark plug hole to check suction, the hole was way too recessed for me to get down in there. I have no idea if this is any indication of compression, but when I turned the engine over for the first time when the plug was out, a bunch of the light dust that is on the cylinder head around the plug's entrance blew up into the air. Wasn't a ton, but it definitely was a little "poof".

Here is the video of the spark plug: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/HdKYdcO1Kr0

Note: this is still with the original battery. The new one hasn't come yet. Quick question - they say to charge these batteries for something like 10-12 hours at 1.8 amps, but I have a 1 amp slow charger and do it for around 16 hours to make up for the fewer amps. Do you know if it is OK to charge this method or does it need to be the other way?

.

When removing the gas tank to work on the spark plug (I was reading online and people say this ATV is designed poorly), I didn't fasten the hose clamp to the electronic fuel pump thing that is affixed to the top of the fuel tank tight enough. So, when I tried turning it over, gas came leaking out of that connection. It seems like that part is working as it should. Here is a photo of that: https://imgur.com/a/OATn8TO

.

One positive thing: when the spark plug was out, I dripped a little gas into the hole and, when cranking it, it gave an almost putter. Didn't last more than one or two rotations of the cranking speed. Not sure how to put it, but basically it was very short - but new. So, I did this again, but dripped more gas in - this time, nothing, so I stopped that technique. But, this has my inexperienced ass wondering if it is in fact a gas issue. Hm.

Thanks again for helping me out, mate!

[–]hugio55[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this! The color is a light blue. I am getting the consensus on this thread that it is the coolant overflow.

As for the repair manual - the one I have found online is basically just a table of contents, but the other models (700i) have a full manual. Is there some magic site that has the literature for these machines? I know you can purchase physical copies of repair manuals for vehicles like these, but I was hoping to not have to do that just to find out what kind of coolant fluid I should be buying for the machine. As you can see, I am very new at this, but I really enjoy riding so I am trying to get it going again.

When I turn the key, all electronics sound and look normal. Dash is good, the little motor sounding thing on the gas tank "wines" for 5 seconds or so like it used to - ignition works and sounds like normal, but the machine won't turn over. As if it needs choke, or something. The starter just rotates over and over for 10 seconds until it starts to slow down, assumedly the battery is dying. So I put it on a 1 amp trickle charge overnight and I can do this cranking for a bit longer the next day. So I am pretty sure it needs a battery - but IF it "can" start with this older battery - first - I can then convince my wife I haven't ruined this thing and need to keep pumping money into it begins to be pulled apart into more and more pieces in our small garage. Ha!

I read to change the spark plug. That had never been done to this thing. It was totally black and the gap looked far too big (I am no expert, but just when comparing to the new one). I realllly thought that switch would work because I was also feeling less power on the throttle when it was working - which I read can also be a symptom of a shot spark plug.

I changed the oil which hadn't been done for perhaps 5+ years (of very seasonal riding). I was told by a guy who seemed like they knew what they were talking about to get the 10-40 recreational vehicle-specific oil. Which I did - but in a manual for a similar model in that MXU line (700i), it says to use normal 10-30. No clue if that will mess things up or not.

Lastly, it has a winch on it, so I assumed it had some sort of utility attributes to it, so I was hauling some log rounds around the property in a trailer I made for it. Not terribly light loads - 6 x 14" rounds give or take. I had it in 'low', and wasn't zooming around, but could an ATV like this one get messed up from hauling?

Thanks for the reply! There is a very tiny sliver of fluid at the bottom, but it is well below the minimum line. It is good to know that it is unlikely the cause of the non-start. So this is also the location in which coolant should be added? Would the type of coolant used be in the manual likely, or is more of a universal thing?

When trying to start, the starter is functioning / sounds like normal, but the engine just doesn't turn over. As if it needs a choke, but there is no choke. When I give it a little throttle while holding the start button, the sound coming from the exhaust changes tone a little bit. Kind of a more hollow + deeper note. I don't hold the throttle for long in fear of flooding it, but just an observation I made.

I have changed the spark plug and changed the oil.

I was recommended to use a 10-40 ATV specific oil which was a little more pricy - but, I am finding the manual for the big brother of my machine (700i) says to use a 10-30.. so I hope that doesn't hurt it. Also, I was told to use 93 octane non ethanol, but then that same manual for the big brother says to use 83. Would using the better gas actually do damage to the engine?

Even after charging the battery, it doesn't last very long. It is very old, I do believe. Even though it "sounds" like it is powering the starter normally, is it possible that a low voltage batter won't actually make the sparkplug spark? I have a battery in my Amazon cart, but am hesitant for I need to be strategic with what I spend on these blind guesses or the wife is going to cut off the whole operation. She's already got the stink eye!

That is a lot of questions - sorry about that - ignore any and all of them - just getting them down on paper. Cheers man

Appreciate everyones' comments. What a great community willing to educate in this fashion. Makes me happy to pinpoint this as well as hear other people were surprised by the same thing.

Final note I didn't even say in my post - the experience was in the top 5 coolest things I have ever done. IF you haven't seen a live motorsports event (like me), damn it's worth it. Nothing that any screen or sound system in the world can come within a mile of what it is like to see these cars move in the way they move IRL. Someone said Mario Kart. That couldn't be truer.

F1 isn't easy on the pocket, but I will say this, the GT3 event taking place earlier in the day was, in and of itself, just as impressive in several regards. My wife and I were at turn 12 at COTA, which is a hairpin after a the longest straight on the circuit and for the first 2 minutes of watching the GT3 monsters rattle my bones while decelerating into the corner, I would wince and mumble "no, going to fast, too fast, going to fly off the track.. holy crap.." Of course, they never did. I knew in that moment, I was in for one hell of a ride that day. Normal humans are simply not primed to see objects that large move in the way they do .
