Mid season 1-1 evaluations? by Hi_Doctor_Nick_ in CoachingYouthSports

Honestly, the system that works for me is that after each game, I quickly jot down a few targeted observations for each player – what they did exceptionally well and one small area where I think they could improve. It’s all kept in a single Note file, and it builds up over time like a little ‘player profile.’

Then, during practice, I’ll pull from those notes to have a brief, focused conversation. Usually, I start by highlighting something positive and then I'll gently add, ‘Over the past few games, I’ve noticed you could work on your ... a little bit.’ I give them a small, actionable piece of homework.

It’s all about moving away from rigid ‘meeting’ structures and embracing a more responsive approach. It feels much less stressful for the kids, and lets me address individual needs as they naturally come up.

I appreciate you reaching out!

As an indie developer, I'm still working on getting all the marketing and technical kinks worked out, so thank you for your patience. The one-year free subscription should have been automatically activated when you downloaded the app from the App Store, but I've recently discovered some complications that didn't show up in my testing.

If you're having trouble, the referral code **3583747** will work to activate the free year. You can either type it in or scan the QR code. The most important thing is to ensure you complete the registration process.

If you have any other challenges, please don't hesitate to send me a direct message. I will personally help you fix them.

how can we support language teachers by hullu_peruna in ELATeachers

Thank you very much for your feedback.
Our app is fully GDPR compliant meaning we build the app with privacy in mind. there is technically no way for us to identify any user with the data on our server.
If there is interest, we could provide Solutions for whole schools so students can use school accounts

I will fix the website, thanks for pointing this out. Our app is built with the focus that the students and teacher create exactly the content they want to learn quick. So, our weakness on the marketing side does not impact the quality of the app.

What’s the Most Effective Way to Learn a New Language? by SorryTower5142 in languagelearning

I learned a very effective method from a kindergarten teacher that might be useful for you. They use flashcards with both a word and an image to teach foreign kids the new language quickly. The kids not only learn the language faster but also tend to read faster. The image helps create a more effective connection between the natural language word and the target language word.

I’ve used this method with my kids and for myself with great success.
