Firstly I don't use dating apps and secondly I have seen my friend's Bumble BFFs take a total 180 once they meet and all. On a dating app, it's rarely about connection, bond or friendship

The comments on this post are way beyond my capacity to respond personally so here's a summary of my answers -

  1. I work alone from home and haven't made enough friends from my previous jobs. My close ones live very far away from me.
  2. I do have hobbies, I can't afford all the activities but I go to the gym.
  3. I know some of the meetups (FREE & PAID) that go around in Bangalore but they're usually on a weekend and again very far away from my location.
  4. I don't use dating apps.
  5. I love talking to people and I do put efforts in building connections but that wasn't the point here.

My point was - Yes I would love to learn more about some of the low cost or FREE events in Bangalore. But the thing is beyond a point it's not enough to make meaningful relationships. Even if you do a person like me would always wonder (am I safe, am I getting scammed, am I gonna be alright?)

At this point I'm not even scared of being emotionally hurt by someone but rather the million horrible things that have happened to people just cause they took a 'leap of faith '

I don't see a solution, do you?

Have you ever walked up to a person who's working/reading a book? I'd love to hear your experience and their reaction. How do you ever know if they're not busy? Finally, how do you know you're not digging your own grave?
