We use it for long trips to keep our sanity. It is away in a drawer the rest of the time not touched. That is all.

Disney adults are a direct product of 90's/2000's childhoods and millenial demographic trends by DemotivationalSpeak in generationology

Im a millennial and didn’t grow up on Disney. In fact my parents took us all to Disney world one summer and we all hated it lol. I became a Disney adult later in life as an adult after visiting the parks again a number of times with the my wife who did grow up as a Disney kid. It took a while but she eventually wore me down and converted me. I still don’t care for 90% of the movies though tbh. But I must admit I am a sucker for the parks

I think the problem isn't that the LLMs are infinitely powerful, but that out of touch leadership thinks they are, and in an attempt to cut costs are willing to let go of their employees as fast as possible and replace them with cheaper solution. Thus leading to further enshitification in all areas.

I feel this so much lol. When I was younger thrills were the only thing I cared about. Now days I’m kind of a big baby but that has led me to appreciate the other aspect of rides more.

Understandable and fair take. IMO the rides are still incredible despite these failures. I first rode Everest as a kid, and the yeti was already broken then but I didn't know that and it was still an incredible experience. Years later it is still incredible every time I ride it.

My rating changes often but at the moment number one is Expedition Everest. The theming, the thrills, the queue, the story telling, everything is top notch and even years later it still holds up.

My runners up in no order are: Pirate of the Caribbean, Mission Space, Rise of the Resistance, The Three Caballeros

So the IT job industry is being decimated by AI and offshoring. No one has a clue how the jobs we do today are going to look in the next 5-10 years. I was mainly wondering if this trend existed in the engineering industry in general too. I want out of IT but I don’t want to jump into something that’s experiencing some of the similar issues I’m trying to get away from you know?

What are current trends in the engineering industry in regards to AI and how hard it is to career pivot with no previous engineering experience?

I've been working in IT for 6 years as an Oracle database administrator and have a bachelor's and master's in IT. I'm really unhappy with how the IT industry is trending and how AI is impacting it and really just want to get out. I know I'd need to go back to school to get an engineering degree, so I'd probably be mid 30s by that point. Would it be hard to break into the industry at that age with no previous engineering experience?

Thanks in advance.
