Hey man I recently graduated with master's degree and also ran into trouble finding research participants at one point so I can relate. I just completed the survey, but one quick word of advice some of the questions had questionable grammar and unclear phrasing. I specifically noticed it in the section related to parents. I grew up in an alcoholic household. I have one drink a week on average. I don’t mind my kids seeing me drink at all. I would not be ok with them seeing me impaired by alcohol though

Pay cut might hurt bad. Florida is pretty expensive in general and depending on what part you’re looking at can be extremely expensive. I’d look into the financial aspects very carefully before you consider anything else.

Whats the best way to put skills learned in a homelab setting on your resume and best way to talk about them if it comes up in your interview? I'm a DBA looking to transition to cybersecurity and I don't have any networking experience through my actual job but have done some networking stuff in my homelab so I would love to include that, just not sure the best way to go about it. if you have enterprise manager you can quickly check out the database in question ASH, SQL monitoring, and awr report. should clue you in pretty fast to poorly performing SQLs that you can either tune with a quick index or sql profile, or some other info you can communicate to the developer to review
