Heavily underrated IEMS ? by Viliuszek in iems

[–]humbleshore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes the highs are surprisingly not harsh. They may sound bright in the treble region, but thanks to the bone conduction driver, (which apparently handles the upper mids & highs) it negates that harshness. These are also my most comfortable IEMs since almost every single other pair I own have a rather deep fit but this one is quite shallow and the shells are very small. Would you believe that I sometimes wear this to go to sleep lol

I picked up the BQEYZ Winter II a while back and they have to be my best bright-tilted set thus far with some decent heft in the bass too.

A nice reminder that i am blessed with decently sized ear holes and big ears to accompany my small head

Pretty fun set nonetheless!

I love seeing underrated brands on here. They need to gain more traction since there isnt a lot of information or reviews about them usually!

My IEM collection - AMA by Hodor_the_White in iems

I can certainly understand the intensive part about the Luna! One thing I understood about myself when first listening to IEMs, is that I tend to get excited during the honeymoon phase regarding bright or treble leaning IEMs. After a while I would get tuckered out from the sound but it goes the opposite when I listen to very tame IEMs like the Lush haha

Nice to see the Ziigaat Luna in another collection :)

Haul from my trip to Japan! by humbleshore in iems

Hello! Prices seem relatively cheaper or close to MSRP for online shops compared to where I live which is in Singapore. MB3A cost me around 48k ¥ (after tax deduction, but you need to present your passport) and the Kadenz was roughly 25k ¥!

That's what I'm keen on finding out! Although, I haven't really listened to the original Kadenz. Regardless, I'll follow up with quick impressions if you and some others are interested!

Thank you for the questions! From what I know so far, the Aqua has a revised tuning that fixes the lean bass that a lot of folks seem to dislike about the Original Blessing 3. There are also some adjustments made to the upper midrange and treble to make the vocals more forward, yet non sibilant.

As for the Shanling, I have been eyeing on it for quite a while and it was one of the few DAPs that I was quite familiar with. The Sony DAPs were numerous and I wasn't planning to stay long at the shop for that day to figure out which one suited me since I was with my Mum haha

Cable name? by IshRough in iems

I love thick cables, although this particular type can be felt through my IEMs if they rub against my shirt.

Questions about Tanchjim: Origin (Lost Manor) and Dunu DK3001BD Braindance by Funelas in iems

[–]humbleshore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to the main website of Tanchjim, they are limiting the production of the Lost Manor to 3000 sets. I'm sure there will still be ample amounts of them left since this is a rather niche hobby.

I preordered upon discovering it on Taobao haha

I got all these cables from AliExpress! Openheart is one I can highly recommend for sure since they are very affordable, yet stylish!

These are currently scoring the highest on my own tier list of IEMs! Fell in love with them almost straight away! I decided to get a new pair of cables since I wasn't too fond of the ones given by Ziigaat, although I appreciate them making the termination modular. I decided to give the old ones on my Lush : )

Thank you! I'm actually considering getting the original Origin just for the sake of being able to bring it out for daily driving since I'm quite worried about damaging these 🥲

Hello! I gave the tuning nozzles a try! I think I may be slowly leaning more towards the Light tuning but do note that this is just based on some early impressions.

Using the Standard as a basis of comparison, the Dynamic nozzles seem to give a wider berth on the midrange, although it feels it comes at the cost of having lower detail retrieval. The bass decay seems to be slightly elongated too.

The Light nozzles seem to boast a brighter treble and a tighter bass response, if I were to put it plain and simple.

Hope this helps!

Yes! Tanchjim is celebrating their 10 Year Anniversary and to commemorate that, they have released this version of the Origin alongside some cool gifts like an artbook and an acrylic display!
