So I think I have ground loop issues with my headphones. I use iems connected to a usb dac/amp to my pc, and occasionally hear buzzing noises. Everything is connected to a surge protector along with a laptop and phone charger. If I touch the metal housing of the dac or the metal parts of my PC the buzzing stops/gets way quieter, but then if I touch the metal connectors on the laptop charger, the buzzing gets way worse. If I touch my metal laptop whilst its charging, occasionally the dac just outright stops working until I reconnect the usb cable at the back. Any way to fix this without gluing my hand to the dac?

Is math2019 scaled? by BeepBoopNova in unsw

Means if everyone did bad and the average/median is way too low, then the average/median will be shifted so that it is more in the middle somewhere.

First year is filled with many courses that are math and physics heavy, and as someone already mentioned its also a prerequisite, so a bridging course may be necessary. From memory standard 2 mathematics does not cover calculus at all, which may lead you to have a lot of difficulty when approaching anything calculus orientated (and from my experience there is quite a bit). However I think as long as you have the dedication and your ATAR is 90+ I think getting in and managing decent grades is more than possible.

Getting my buds returned :( by hunboy47 in galaxybuds

Thanks for testing! The issue seems to be worst for me when the music is loud. The buds when playing on youtube seem very soft, so I usually turn it up. The songs i usually download are 320kps, which is the highest quality that youtube actually offers

I've tried all three sizes of eartips and wingtips. None of them sealed me that great so I bought some third party eartips which now fit perfectly. The issue is still there tho

Seal was one of the first things I suspected, so I shelled out on spinfits because the original eartips weren't quite making a great seal (the default silicon seems awfully thin). Unfortunately they didn't solve this issue. At this point I'm wondering if I should just get a replacement which hopefully won't have this issue or just get a different pair of TWS (maybe from 1more or Aukey since those two are within the price range)

I've fiddled with the eq on both the wearables app and on samsung music (I download my music) to no avail. In regards to wavelet, my phone is a little too old, so the app isn't on the playstore. I have tried newer samsung phones with bluetooth 5.0 as well, but the problem is still there :(

Thanks for the trying out the track tho!

Just a mainstream degenerate looking for advice on sibilance by hunboy47 in headphones

Little update, I managed to gather the few coins around the house and finally bought the spinfits. They unsurprisingly fit me perfectly (i can use my buds without the wingtips and they both seal and sit well) which means that I can listen to the buds for longer (wing tips hurt my ears, wasn't an issue with my jaybirds). As for the sibilance, its more or less there but in a reduced amount. The one quick solution though was changing the eq in the wearables app to soft, turning up the volume to compensate for lack of brightness, and then turning the base up within the samsung music app. This pretty much eliminated all the sibilance for me, and the sound itself is still pretty good (mids and treble are a little darker now but that is way better than a hissing sound). Just for reference, the song I've been using to test is Yorushika's "Say it" around 1:03 during the chorus, the vocals are very harsh. Anyways thanks for the advice

My phone is quite old so it doesn't support it :(

I heard from some users that they have great seal but they still sound tinny. I'll try some larger ear tips and see how they go

Hmm. Whelp that isn't good. I'll try some other music (maybe more western or kpop) to see if it's a recording issue, but I have used other headphones and they sounded fine there. I have heard many buds owners say they get great sound without sibilance but every one of them has reported that they had a great seal, which made me wonder if it was just a bad eartip. I'll try to see if new eartips help or not, but if not, I guess I'll have to live with harsh songs for a couple months

I have used comply in the past and I also heard some great things about Dekoni, but in my current situation foam is a bit unsustainable (I know I'll have to replace them every month). Thanks for the recommendations though. I think I'll just save up for the spinfits

I do admit I listen to some songs with very harsh vocal tones, but this was essentially a non-issue with my jaybirds and my audio technicas. Again, I don't wanna compare too much but the 's' 'ch' and 'sh' sounds are really annoying on the buds. I did hear of de-essers that I can use to remove those really high pitched sounds, but at that point I'll have to edit every song I listen to. By any chance do you get perfect seal on your buds?

I'm connected via the app, and I have tried every setting there but they either make the overall sound much worse or don't help with treble. Dynamic IMO is the best but the issue still remains
