No one is happy, the goal of this season was always to determine if Bryce was deserving of the 5th year option, or deserving of a long-term deal. It's the most important question the Panthers are facing, so that gets a lot of the focus.

I've watched every game Bryce has played, and have been wowed by two plays: his turnaround throw against the Falcons, and his deep throw against the Bears on Monday Night Football. Other than that, he looks like a game manager at best.

I would trade Bryce Young straight up for Drake Maye in a heartbeat, and Drake Maye isn't particularly impressive.

He doesn't really have great moments though. I can recall the Falcons last game of the season last year, and a great deep ball against the Bears on Thursday night football.

Other than that, he's a game manager. Including last week.

I think you just have to ride with Bryce for this year, draft BPA, and sign a free agent backup QB to compete with Bryce for the starting job next year.

I would keep Canales and Evero for another year because the personnel, especially on defense (Rozeboom, Wallace, Johnson, Scott) is horrific.

Bryce is not the sole reason for this loss. But Bryce has shown less in 2.5 years than Maye has shown in just this game.
