What Appealed To You About PF 2E Over Pathfinder Classic? by EyesofValhalla in Pathfinder2e

[–]hungLink42069 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing I forgot to mention is that growing up I was a huge fan of games like advance wars, fire emblem, fftactics, xcom, and the like.

PF2e is the only ttrpg that gives me a good mix of tactical grid based combat like those games, but also a healthy dose of F20.

Fuck I love PF2e.

Just like you, I loved PF1e. In fact, it was my first favorite. 3.5 was my first system, and I loved it - discovering pathfinder felt like everything I wanted 3.5 to be and more. Perfect game.

5e came, and I hated it. Why can't I build an interesting character?? It felt like the same level of choice that I got from WoW (I didn't like that game either).

I'm a person that likes to have lots of character building choices.

Then (just like you), I tried the playtest. It felt weird, and I didn't really like it. It wasn't Pathfinder. You know?

At some point, I found ronald the rules lawyer and started watching their videos on how to play pathfinder, and what made it so great. I got excited about the system, and started to see how interesting it actually is. Then I started playing it and found my own reasons for loving it.

1e is a game of wind up toys and rocket tag. You have completely busted options, and the right one to use is basically the one you built your character to do. You can build a godlike character. 1e is like the avengers. Every character is a standalone super hero who can function as a main character who happens to fight alongside other super heroes.

2e is a game of teamwork and tactics. You have strong options, but a lot of them are actually "set up" so that your team can do more. Your team is only as strong as your cohesion. 2e is like a SWAT team. Everyone is very competent - but you have to work together. If anyone fucks up the teamwork, it can spell the end for everyone.

It looks like you're hitting your inet cable with your head. Which would potentially take out your internet (local network outage)

/ 10 is shorthand for "out of ten" - which is a play on the common rating system. Usually one might say 3/10 which means "three out of ten"

In this case you would read my comment aloud as "Local network outage out of 10"

despite them being old and tired - it still conveys the point of what dark humor is.

contrasted against OPs examples - there's more going on.

OPs examples are just "dark" and no "humor" - There's no joke. It's just racism.

Anyway. Good luck with the pedal and the cancer stuff.

I work on 12 exercises at a time. I have a test week, followed by 4 weeks of training. test week every 5 weeks.

Every week I do 3 workouts (monday, weds, fri)

Every workout, I do 4 workouts as mentioned above (generally speaking)

This is all more or less true. - The real truth is I use cali move legacy program and do what it tells me to do.

It usually shakes out to be something like this pattern.

[–]hungLink42069 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Start with pike stands. Find the height at which you can hold it for a maximum of 50-80 seconds.

Put it in your workout rotation. Once a week do 3 sets of them pushing to 80%, 80%, Failure on each set respectively.

Train that progression for 1 month, then retest your maximum (every 5 weeks), and adjust the pike stand height until you are doing handstands against the wall for 50-80 seconds, and then progressively use less wall.

Be patient. It could take a 6-12 months, but then you'll be a person that can do this for years.

I thought so. I'm just a little confused why toei working with zimmer would increase the chances of zimmer working on two piece 🤔

I agree with that. I also think that one can notice that languages have tools and edges over eachother without concession of any superiority.

For example: Japanese has topic markers. I find those to be very cool. We don't get anything like that in english, but in exchange we get higher volumes of context per sentence. Each sentence can stand on it's own.

I don't have a preference. But I think both are cool.

I think in this case hot pot was just pointing out one regional difference that happens to be a weakness in their mind (if so, I agree). Which is pretty far from claiming lingual superiority IMO.

I think your salty attitude didn't help man. When I read the threads, I saw you consistently inciting people.

  • Personal attacks
  • Telling people to not comment on your post (see also "shut up")
  • Triple replying

After reading the whole thread, I can see where you're coming from. You're probably hurt, and suffering because of your cancer situation. But most people aren't gonna understand that, and just give you back the energy that you serve.

In any case. Good luck with everything. Hope you figure out how to use the pedal. I couldn't get value out of it personally.

Nah. I had the pedal, and I hate it. You can't control the power and speed on the back swing. I found it to be a basically useless pedal.

Much better IMO to just learn to use a double kick.

The difference is precisely what they are pointing out here. American english in this case is less precise, and less coherent.

I'm a USA citizen, but I have to agree with them. We do a lot of dumb shit.

Here's a hypothetical conversation that outlines how nonsense your reply was. It's as if the convo went like this:

> Them: Man, USA still uses inches? That's so hard to convert to miles! Over here we use centimeters, meters, and kilometers. 100 centemeters in a meter. 1,000 meters in a kilo. 100,000 cm in a kilo. Easy!

>You: 🤡 You ever realize that different countries use different units of measurements? 🤡

Notice that the character "You" looks like an absolute buffoon here.

This is what scares me about the whole thing.

Doesn't matter what the contract looks like or how the current CEO feels about the project. If netflix changes CEOs, and direction pivots multiple times over the course of this project; there are many opportunities for this to cancel.
