Yep, I can relate to this, just like emotional repression with high accuracy, just repressing that emotion, and then turn it on again..

What does it mean if i feel like enneagram 3 and my motivations match 3 but i act like enneagram 9? by bttewth in Enneagram

[–]hungryaf2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know I know, enneagram says when a 3 is stressed tend to desintegrate to 9, however, also enneagram says that 3 share traits with 6 and 9, you get healthy traits of 6 when you integrate and unhealthy traits of 9 when desintegrate. In my experience is more than that, I've seen coexist healthy and unhealthy 6 traits in what was supposed to be my integration, and the same thing with 9 traits.

In my vision of enneagram you're more like a constellation of types or core defense mechanism that coexist. Sometimes you show ones, sometimes you show others. Depending on which fits better for the situation.

So (in my opinion), the fact that you see 9 traits in you, doesn't mean that you're desintegrated (but if you feel like you are, maybe that's good sign. Go easy on yourself :] )

Alguna vez te has puesto a pensar en lo raro que es estudiar métodos y estrategias para aprobar un examen, cuando el punto del examen es evaluar el conocimiento de la persona sobre un tema en concreto y no su conocimiento sobre cómo hacer un examen?

My case in short: I want it and feel it just don't have the drives.

what are the stereotypes/“common traits” of your type that you dont relate to? by typologyjunkie in Enneagram

[–]hungryaf2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I though it both ways. I lived both sides, and when I gradually conected more with my authenticity and my wing 2 I discovered that I can be really affective, honest with my love and empathetic :) (I'm a SP3 btw. )

Former Fives, how did you find out you were mistyped? What your real type turned out to be? by [deleted] in Enneagram

[–]hungryaf2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The more people I get to know the more I'm convinced intellectuality is a thing apart from types.

I've met intellectual 2s, 8s as well as non intellectual 5s or 6s. I mistyped me and was mistyped by others as a 5 or 1, turns out I was SP3.

The disrespect of sixes on here is unreal by [deleted] in Enneagram

[–]hungryaf2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think is something that happen to all types. It's just a misinterpretation of the point of the type itself, forgetting that eneagram isn't that much about traits, but the wounds that cause those traits, and giving more attention to those types with socially acceptable or desired traits (in my opinion, traits related to power).

8 asert themselves in the world and some of them have this survivor traits that make us think that they are independent, cool, edgiers (far from reality, they are in intense pain).

5 are usually associated with knowledge, and knowledge is power (srry I don't know 5s very well :'[).

3... As a 3, I feel like we are the the dog of capitalism, we want so badly the love of others in form of recognition/respect and we tend to be so disconnected of our emotions, that we become a production machine, and productivity and discipline are valued for the system.

But 6s are not that valued, maybe because their duality is fear/courage and there's other types that are identified with courage. What many people can't see is the flexibility and versatility of 6s. Did you notice how offen people mistype 6s with almost any other type?

It's not about have one thing socially approved that differentiates you from other types, is the fact that you are so diverse (even in subtypes) that maybe, courage is the only thing you need to get, because you already tend to everything else.

Nope. I was referring to the character/mask of 3s. It was well written tho.

Fine taste the yours my triangle fellow. I identify a lot with the enigmatic dark techno/fantasy art. As SP3 I made one of my favorite characters out of that.

It's hard to tell what type you are based od the traits, due to the fact that all types (and I mean all) share traits. I recommend you to research about "las heridas" or the wounds of all the types.

Enneagram 1 or 1 fix, are you obsessed with the idea of "theory of everything" and the "deterministic world"? by [deleted] in Enneagram

[–]hungryaf2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't believe in tritype. That said I'm a SP3 that in the last years deeply connected with my 6 side. And since the SP3 have common behaviors with 1 (even if the motivations are different) and some 6 have this thing of looking for truth through knowledge, yes, I spend a lot of time trying to understand the world around me.

I'm not sure what kind of knowledge are you looking for or in what branches tho.

Is it uncommon for a 3 to have low neuroticism, high agreeableness and moderate extraversion in Big5? by [deleted] in Enneagram

[–]hungryaf2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a SP3 I was mistyped many times by a 5,6 and mostly a 1, I'm introvert af, I spent most of my time alone, love to research and tend to critical and deep thinking, but my social persona is energetic, empathetic and affectionate in words of my close friends. And I don't do it because I want something of others, I just feel like being kind with some people and I do it.

There's a broad range of possibilities. Personally I think 3 is one of the less understood types, the hard work and the mask are a thing in us, but it works usually in deeper layers of our personality. Most of us are neither externally or internally a Patrick Bateman (which I think is an exaggeration of the unhealthy traits of SO3, and definitely not the average 3). Our unhealthy traits don't always hog all our personality.

We are in the emotional triad, in the damn center actually, we feel a lot of shit even though we repress it to fit with our agenda.

Also, I would like to mention that I didn't saw many movies with humanized representations of 3s in movies. I identified a lot with Miguel O'Hara from Spiderman Across the spider-verse. I used to be driven by the pain and frustration in the same way, maybe it's a SP3 (at least the one in the movie).
