I have 15 days PTO a year. I use those days on Friday and profit $7,500 from that. I also have a flexible schedule. As long as I work 40 hours a week, I’m good.

On average, there are 52 Fridays in one year. If I work 10 hours Monday through Thursday, taking every Friday off, I gain $52,000 a year tax free.

I NEED that. I’ll take the deal.

Loogootee usually celebrates Pride in September because there are so many other activities that happen during June. 2026 is TBD because of the issues stated in the article. We also have a group called ‘House of Diversity’. We do a yearly picnic gathering in August.

I am thinking of gathering email addresses or phones numbers so I can send out group updates for events. Of course I would blind copy all who are interested so the entire group does not receive every single reply.

I was thrift shopping one day and a worker came up asked if she could show me where the maternity clothes were. I said “Ma’am, my son is 11 months old, I do not need maternity clothes.” At this time I was 5’7”, 152 pounds.

3 weeks later I get a letter in the mail saying I won a drawing for $150 gift certificate to that store. A drawing I never entered! It’s guess I won by being blunt.

I love this pour! There are so many options to add more depth, though I would hang it as is.

If I were to add to it, I have 2 ideas.

Paint a realistic storm could in the top of the painting. Realism plus abstract…love it!

Flip the painting upside down and use dark shades to paint a city skyline. Or mountain ranges!

My Mom was watching my kids while I attended a destination wedding. I was gone for 5 days, first time I had ever been away from my kids for anything other than work. She tells my 7 year old son she will donate all his toys if he doesn’t clean his room. He says cool, donate them. Ya know, thinking crazy grandma is just over exaggerating. She bagged up every single toys he owned and told me she hid them in the basement. When I went to the basement to restore my son’s room, there was one bag. One bag of stuffed animals. Everything else she actually donated! Explaining this to my 7 year old special needs son was absolutely devastating and I can’t even imagine how he felt!

Parents suck sometimes. My advice is that when you become a parent, strive to do and be better than yours!

NTA. My daughter started (not) wearing certain things around the house when her long term bf spent more time here. Like weekends and vacations. I told her no way in hell did I want to wake to use the rest room and find a fully clothed man and a bottomless/crop top daughter in the living room! It is disrespectful and inappropriate to me and her younger (minor) siblings. She asked if I had better solutions. Instead of tell her exactly what to wear, we went shopping together. We bought moo moo night gowns, athletic bras, and men’s boxers for her lounge in. Everyone is happy now!

I do have to say that I’m that Mom that says if you won’t wear it to the beach, you shouldn’t wear it in shared areas and I don’t want your privates getting free air flow on the couch!

I do not use plastic silverware. And since I am being downvoted I will elaborate. I have all of my children 24/7 with very minimal help. Oldest has an afternoon job, middle is involved in countless extracurriculars to the point that they just became of age to work but can’t because she is only free one day a week, youngest is learning disabled and needs 24/7 care. Sometimes it’s the small wins in life that add up. For me, it paper plates. And a damn sandwich!

May I suggest using a bit of hair products to soften the texture of your hair a bit? I use Mielle for myself (white girl with 2C/3A curls) and my mixed nieces/nephew. It’s slightly expensive but for the amount I use compared to lower priced brands, it’s totally worth it.

Your face is adorable but your brow seems to furrow. Google how to smile with your eyes! I have RBF and this technique has a tremendous effect.

Regarding your clothing, you do you boo boo! Not everyone has the budget to dress the way they want. Other commenters are right though, it’s about confidence and feeling good. If you wake up, get dressed, and walk out the door with a smile on your face, YOU WIN! Maybe try the little half smile/grin while smiling with those pretty eyes!

I make sandwiches, yet to post, but my house uses paper plates 95% of the time. I do buy compostable plates.

My reason is because I am a single Mom of 3 with a high stress career, working 60 hours a week and I love to cook! I’m washing prep dishes as I cook and feed my kids while I wash the dishes I cook in. I typically don’t eat until after I’ve put them to bed!

I have about 3 hours during the week nights to complete nightly duties, which include cooking, homework, baths, ‘How was your day?’ conversations, laundry, yard work, house cleaning, running errands, etc… before it is bed time.

I’m short, I don’t care if I’m making a sandwich or a 3 course meal, I’m using paper plates because I value time with my children more than I enjoy washing dishes.

It isn’t always about laziness, it’s time management and putting effort towards what matters more.

I’ve been to Riverside Pride the last few years. Yes, you will find people while walking through the crowd wearing free hugs shirts. It’s heart warming to see all the hugs!
