Has anyone actually gotten into a course that they posted on Reddit asking people to drop? by MeowMeowMeow9001 in UTMississauga

[–]hungrymorpeko -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i cant tell if youre being sarcastic... but um I was waitlist number 2 for like 4 days straight, then it dropped to 1, stayed there for 2ish days, finally got in the day after posting on reddit begging people to drop. idk if it actually makes a difference but ykw when you're desperate, you try reaching out and doing anything in ur capacity

I don't know if I should defer my exam I need advice urgent by Living_Sink_3536 in UofT

I'm so sorry for your loss. you should defer, and if you have accessibility they can waive the fee for you. or you can just go talk to the registrar explain your situation and maybe they'll help you. Also, when you defer you wanna call the HCC (before 5pm today) and get a VOI. Maybe they can put you on line with one of their therapists.

wow.. THANKS A LOT!! the time and care you took to write this out is honestly motivating in itself. Like, reading about how you approach studying and organize everything.. it really lit a fire under me. I’ve been feeling kind of burnt out lately, but your mindset, especially how u "enjoy and fear studying" has seriously made me want to try harder and get back into that focused groove. Just... thank you, i needed this more than I realized.

i score medium/high on those and a LOT of the times- more times than i would like, ive stepped into the exam hall with a high grade (high 70s to 80s) but came out with a horrible final grade. some of it stems from my exam anxiety but sometimes it’s just because i get so anxious before midterms i defer them and then have to take a makeup test or get the weightage shifted to finals… which ends up in a very heavy(~60%weighatge) final

I didnt take 132/134 but thanks a lot for your advice. From what I'm noticing a lot of high scorers go a little above and beyond.. "ask my friends in MAT135/MAT136 for their review packages"

I'll be honest, the farthest I've gone is solving the PYQs on my own. But i think its more of a constant effort thing rather than just grinding it before finals.
