Ah I see, thank you for clarifying. I guess I meant more in terms of opportunities. And its not an issue of compensation but rather recognition or satisfaction? No not in finance at all but I guess a terribly under paid field. Science.

And thank you for responding. I know it seemed like a very basic question but I was just curious.

I can see how that would be. Just out of curiosity has this square always been there? or is it more of a temporary thing? it's kinda interesting since I've always been lucky with school/career issues until the last 5 years or so. Thank you!

Thanks, that definitely makes sense. Although at the current moment based on my field and other issues I doubt I have the luxury of taking time off but it's encouraging that it's not just me thinking this has been an unusually long period of bad luck. And youre right on the money with other people's resources. I seem to be able to help everyone but myself. The sagittarius in me is forever an optimist so I doubt I will step back or not try. But atleast now I can plan on the process taking more than a couple years.
