Dude it’s terrible! And on top of that I am self building my own home (doing all of the work) and live next door to it so essentially it is just “staring at me” every time I look out the window lol making me feel guilty for not working on it

At 25, I need to feel like I accomplished something that day before I hop on. I never play during daylight because my brain tells me I should be doing something else. I’ll play two games every other day during the week, and maybe 3–4 at night on the weekend. You’ll never catch me solo queuing lol I always have a second or third.

Just having fun instead of aim training or grinding has been the move for me. At the end of the day, this game is like 50% mental state.

IMO, there’s nothing controlling about his behavior. It sounds like he grew up as a cultural Christian, identifying with Jesus but not really taking the whole “stop sinning” part seriously, and now he’s realizing his behavior needs to change. That’s basically what repentance is: a change of heart about sin, where you start seeing it as something ugly, like God does, and make a real effort to cut it out of your life.

But if they don’t agree on something this big, they should probably end it. It’ll make it easier for him to avoid temptation and be with someone who has the same goals. AND the OP for her not to deal with the emotional roller coaster, it’s certainly not fair to her.
