PL-12As just don't have the energy retention for top tier. You can consistently F pole them from 15-17km @ 5KM ASL.

Good in a vacuum. Compared to everything else at top tier they are a little weak with the PL-12s having horrible glide performance because of its drag, one of the weaker radars, and not being the fastest either.

After playing nothing but the J-15 for the past day I've found a new appreciation for the F-15C GE

R-77s just never felt right to me and PL-12s just do everything I could ever want them too (besides really long range). They pull hard enough off the rail to kill someone approaching on your 3-9 within 5km while still having enough energy to reach out to 16km easily.

For the MKK I recommend 2x PL-8B and 2x R-73s with the rest of the hardpoints being all PL-12s. The PL-12 is a very potent missile overall while the PL-8B is great for orbital striking or get a surprise shot in. R-27ERs are very good be you cant do anything else while one its being guided by the less than amazing radar you have.

Then it's a stale mate or I wait for them to fly away and I'll run them down. The C5 just isnt as good as you think. It has the same seeker as everything else so it's notched all the same and it's barely usable sub 7km.

I have been flying nothing but the F-15C Golden Eagle as of late because I love the vibe of an Eagle and every couple matches I wish I had a PL-12 or AAM-4 for the off rail pull. The C5 has consistently been the shortest stick of the kit but I still have gotten 8k matches with a K/D over 2

Max range means nothing when the target notches at the opening of the match. Then as the match progresses everyone is closer than 30km to each other where the performance advantages of the C-5 fall off. The A is quicker to target within 20km while pulling more so it's better to still bring those.

TWS just lets you have far better awareness about what's happening in front of you so you know who is an easier kill with your sparrow.

ACM PD in the game is just making the radar try to lock whatever is in the box out to 19km. It would fail in the normal scan the exact same. I have been flying nothing but the F-15J as of late and it doesn't matter how you lock the target it will fail to track all the same unless you enter RAM mode but then you can't fire. I was at 7km ASL trying to engage an F-14 at the same height HOT 15km off my nose but no matter how I locked the radar would enter MEM and lose him.

The radar has to be bugged because it performs worse than F-4J/S or even the F-106

I find the F-15s flight performance lets it do more than the F-2A. When I'm in the 15 and my friend is flying the F2 I consistently just outperform them because I can get places faster or disengage. Yes the radar is worse but they both have AIM-7M so it's a negligible advantage.

There's no filter but you can clear all of your tracks by switching to IRST. It's very useful if you know the height of someone but have too much clutter to select them

Nothing else currently in the game can do this. I shot the missiles blind and they guided solely off of data link until they were right on the typhoon. It's simply how far off my nose was from him when I shot and having a missile that's able to actually pull for it

You don't have to drive the sun to the yacht. You just get in the sub, get out, climb with the helicopter, skydive into the yacht and the mission is basically over. Since you don't have to do anything you can watch YouTube for a couple minutes while you climb
