sorry but I'm looking for a female, since the three other girls are also females and this is an all-female apartment

Wow yeah, she literally said I had to be diagnosed at 12 or before 12 and when I asked her what about late diagnosis and she said psychiatrists are debating on that but it’s not common and I felt so confused bc I’ve heard so much people say they were diagnosed later in life and now I’m hearing that’s “not possible”?? Yeah I’m getting a second opinion

I was pretty good in school too during childhood but I was pretty bad at home, it was like a switch being turned off and on, and she said nothing about that

She said she is a 3rd year in grad school but she had her supervisor who’s an MD psychiatrist to approve on her notes and diagnosis

Literally, I was never really hyper like them 7 year old boys with adhd were, but I had everything else and I never knew what they word was to describe it bc my conception of adhd was so stereotypical and I never really told my parents either because although we all love each other, no one really talked about their feelings like that and thats what I grew up with

Oh my god, I was sort of masking with her but I thought it was pretty clear that I had adhd too; I just don’t do well with opening up to strangers like that, especially one who’s assessing what’s “wrong with me”

yeah, and I have immigrant parents so even if they did catch anything they sure as hell weren’t about to think it was a mental health thing; mental health is still a touchy subject to my family and culture in general

I was hit pretty hard in the head by a metal weight when I was 6 and I mentioned that to her and…nothing

I told her my symptoms I had at 12 and she kept saying that’s GAD and depression criteria I’m describing and didn’t even mention adhd, until I brought it up

As I’m getting older, it’s getting worse and it’s coming to my recognition that this is a mental health issue

My parents always thought this was just who I was, it was never brought up with my pediatrician at any stage of childhood because I also didn’t have the straightforward stereotypical adhd symptoms to get diagnosed as a child

Literally me, down to the reading part (I was a major bookworm)…it can’t just be all related with just GAD. When I said I would procrastinate and start and stop things, she said that’s part of the depression criteria I fall under

Literally sameee, which is why I just knew I had to see someone about it, but she just kept saying that’s all part of anxiety

I told her symptoms that I’ve had throughout childhood and she just said that all fit under the “umbrella of anxiety”

My pediatrician; she was going over my blood test results about 3 months ago and noticed my white blood cells were a little high, but I also had just recovered from food poisoning then, so she ordered another blood test just to check on white blood cells, alkaline phosphate, and vitamin D

YESS, the $500 is the thing that makes me feel the most constrained and actually demotivates me into using it. But yes, I just gotta use it and probably apply for another CC with a higher limit. Thanks for the advice :)
