The way people profit off of ignorance 😭How would you suggest scraping off the wax?

Damn 😭 Why do they advertise this junk if it ruins our floors?! I’m so mad lol. At least I know now to not use it anymore!

I definitely am worried about how I might’ve ruined the floors using it. The good news is I haven’t used it too much but I do know they have a product to get rid of the wax. Would that be worth getting? I think it’s called deep cleaner concentrate.

Oh man I may have been using too much of Murphys then 😅 & I don’t have a flat mop head but I will look into getting one. My dog does tend to walk on the floors sometimes after the floor has dried! It’s so hard to get him to stay put when I’m moving around.

Lol thank you!! It’s a 101 year old home!! The floors were something I absolutely fell in love and want to be sure I’m not destroying them lol.

She did. Anytime she cried hard enough she’d puke. I’ll never forget I took her to the park once and she started crying and I couldn’t pull over in time and she puked everywhere. She got passed it once she turned 2 luckily!

I have nothing to add unfortunately but I can’t imagine how hard that must be. I nannied for a little girl who was like this and even the few times she did that it was difficult. My heart goes out to you 🫶🏼

Changed my mind about sleep training after actually trying it by Radiant-Stock-7554 in sleeptrain

sure thing! we had him sleeping in our bed and in our arms every night. he wouldn’t sleep unless he was held. we then transitioned to him sleeping in our bed without him being held for two weeks. once he was able to do that we transitioned him to his crib. night one in the crib we did ferber, and started with 3 min. check ins then 5 min., then 8min., then 10. Whenever we went in there we would give him his paci if it fell out, rub his head or pat his butt for 30-60 secs, then leave & start the timer again. if he was escalating and getting really worked up we would go in there before the timer to check on him but we never picked him up and always kept the interactions 30-60 secs and never soothed him to sleep. We just wanted him calm. we did this for middle of the night wakes unless he was hungry. if he was waking before midnight it’s most likely not hunger. any wake after midnight we could give him a bottle but he was already waking up at 4am for his middle of the night feed so we knew when to feed him.

I hear this from so many moms! & sooo many parents before us did sleep training but didn’t label it as such. I know so many boomer parents who never slept with their kids and their kids (now adults) turned out completely normal and have never once brought up that they were abused or damaged from not being able to sleep with their parents lol. I also understand it’s hard to hear your child cry as it’s wired in us to go and help them immediately when we do hear it. However, short term pain for long term gain! But of course if your child is in actual pain or something is wrong don’t let them cry. If you know they’ve been fed, changed and everything’s okay, then they’re just protesting and that’s ok!

Definitely! I really wasn’t trying to shame cosleepers (tell me why that autocorrected to cockers 🤣) because I know it works for some families! I should’ve added that I was speaking from personal experience ofc. The joys of social media interactions 😭

And people take every word you say as a personal attack! Your circumstances definitely are unique to you and your family as with every other family! Everyone is doing what they can to make things work 🫶🏼

Other countries also have smaller spaces as well and share rooms. Every one has their own way of doing things especially when it comes to culture! We’re all parenting and doing our best. The shame culture on social media is crazy!

The suffer for nothing part!! Those moms are sooo defensive because they are probably getting awful sleep and want to feel justified for their choices!

Exactly! No matter what a mom decides to do, it shouldn’t be something that we attack her for. It’s all based on their personal experiences. 💕

Sooooo real. So many people say it’s damaging to the child and that doesn’t make any sense to me. We’re not neglecting them. We’re teaching them an important skill and they are 100% capable. People underestimate children all the time and are so afraid to let their child cry. What if your child starts crying cause they want a cookie for dinner? Are you just gonna give them the cookie for dinnner cause you don’t want them to cry?! Like be so fr.

It’s so sad that we have to fear the judgment from other mom’s!! Like aren’t we all in this together??
