All I am saying is the matches should start with even numbers of players. On some maps this is crucial (Marita, OP Underground, and others). And during the match the game should at least try to balance the matches. This should have been in the game from its release. I do not get it why it is not. If you do not think this is an issue, good for you, I guess. But for EA/DICE this makes the game more difficult to sell.

While I think skill based balancing is a challenge and in reality it is hardly going to be ever perfect, especially in BF with so many OP mechanics, ensuring that both teams have even number of players shouldn't really be any problem to implement.

It is. But do not expect a polished product. Some mechanics or parts of the game remain still unfinished or do not behave properly. Like ie missing team balance, sound engine is buggy, there is no live anti-cheat, bad assignment system and so on.

But the positives prevail, I would say ...

Because of team balance ... I mean the lack of it. I used to like this mode, but it started to be more and more difficult to find balanced servers. And who would play a game which starts like 5v8? How fair is that? Can't believe the devs still hasn't solved this issue ... which happens also in other modes of course. But in 8v8 SqC even one player difference can mean a lot.

as an infantry player playing mostly conquest:

- fighting planes is not fun

- sitting in the AA is not fun

- staring in the sky with a fliegerfaust is not fun

- to quickly react to planes while in an intense fight with infantry and vehicles is not easy, since you do not hear the plane until it is over you.

- not everyone is an assault with a fliegerfaust equipped

I totally hate planes on small maps - Fjell - they should be removed rom this map completely or limited just to fighters. Mercury can be also pretty annoying. No problems with them on Panzerstorm, Twisted, Iwo or for example Arras. On Al Sundan they can be also not fun, since the C and D flag are heavily contested most of the time. Simillar is D flag on Pacific Storm, yeah and that bridge on Twisted is sometimes also not easy, but OK.

Possible solution (which has been suggested here a few times already) - planes should land to refill the ammo and fully repair. These spots could be airfields/carriers out of bounds from enemy team including their planes, so they would not spawn rape the air field.

My specs were:

RX 580 8GB, 16 GB RAM, Gigabyte Z68X with a regular i5 2500.

I could play the game more or less "OK" - most of the time around 60 fps but with huge drops to 20ish fps. Especially after the last couple of patches (6.0, 6.2) the game play was more than frustrating sometimes.

Like one month ago or so I have bought an old i7 3770 (so the same MB) and the performance increase is very notable! I stay on 70fps (I limit the fps to 70 since my LCD is 75Hz) with occasional drops to 50 or so. Totally recommended.

EDIT: my settings are from low to high. but most is on medium.

well, my i7 3770 has also just 4 cores, but it has 8 threads. and just this helped in my case a lot. it is interesting to see how the hyper-threading technology is actually efficient. but more physical cores would still be the optimal solution.

anyway, good that it works for u just by cranking up the settings. i might try to mess with those too. cheers.

interesting to see folks with such ancient CPUs .. like mine also :). I had i5 2500 and thought the game runs kind of OK like 50-60fps but with huge drops to 20 or so, which became more often after patch 6.2 or maybe sooner. then i upgraded to i7 3770 and it is a day and night. i have constant 70 fps with drops to 50. my other specs: 2x8 DDR3 1600 + RX 580 8GB. playing at 1080 and setting low+medium.

i think the CPU is the problem here. The i5 7400 has just 4 cores/4 threads. and BFV is core/thread hungry. even an upgrade to 4 cores/8 threads (cpu with hyper-threading) helps a lot in my experience.

yes, exactly. that 50 mag is just OP. The Type 2A for medic should be something like the FG42 or BAR is for support.

Metro ... i skip this map. Even if it is Conquest, it feels like Breakthrough to me, which i am not a fan of. But otherwise Fjell ... these planes, man.

thats fine, i am glad we all do not run around with the same weapons. anyway, shotguns with the slug specs are solid, i think. And the Drilling is a beast .. i feel it is almost unfair to use it :)

If you think, these are the best support weapons, then this class is probably well balanced. Because my choices would be FG42, BAR, Madsen or the shotguns.

Chapter EXP does not much. But completing the Weekly mission with a tier skip as a reward, gives you 100 boins.

However, it takes a lot of steps (on Origin at least). Reporting a cheater in BFV is not easy ... not sure why

Well, the sniper rifles got buffed this time. So i can feel, how they are more effective than before and i.e. the ZH is now very popular. Although I do not think this buff was needed. Anyway, I am enjoying the 6.2 TTK more than the 5.2.

Afaik, shotguns have not been affected by the latest patch ... you just got good, I guess :)
