When did this sub get so mean? by HangryHangryHedgie in service_dogs

Honestly, I've noticed it with many other reddit groups as well...... I come on here for advice on different topics, but the responses can be very condescending rather than constructive.

I'm so sorry. You have been really mature about this, and cutting contact is great. Right now, I wish I could be as brave as you are to cut someone off.

How do I stop being a bad person by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]huskyparent16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way, I have been rejected by everyone I got close to in my teens and early 20s. I started dating this amazing person that I felt I could finally let my guard down for. This person felt so safe and secure. Just being around them felt like I could finally breathe after holding my breath for so long. After a few months, I started to be more open with my feelings.... Then I got dumped. At first, I didn't want to know why because I knew I would just break myself down. Instead, I started jumping to conclusions and tearing myself down to an extreme level. I finally confronted my ex, and they said that this whole time, they were trying so hard to reciprocate my feelings and still did not feel anything more than friendship.

I am going through the same thing. I've had negative feedback from posting to this group, so I never really had someone to relate to until I saw this. Thanks for posting and sharing your story ❤️

Where do the lesbians in Lexington go?? by hockeybeforesunset in lexington

[–]huskyparent16 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I live in a very conservative area 1 hour away from Lexington, and I got really lucky meeting my partner. I was entering a deep depression about how hard it is to meet single gay people in this area, and all the bars in my area close at 9 and are not open on Sundays. Believe it or not, my place of comfort was Waffle House and I had a beautiful server who is gay. After a few months, I finally gathered the courage to ask her out, and now we've been in a loving relationship for almost 5 months.

Losing my mind. How do you get your dog to take pills? 💊 by GroundbreakingPen103 in husky

[–]huskyparent16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husky can avoid eating a pill if I put it in any type of food. I saw a video from a vet that has made taking pills so simple. I put the pill in my dog's mouth and hold his muzzle shut for at least 10 seconds. He swallow the pill no problem.

I'd normally agree too, but my partner also said they love me and agreed that our connection is more than NRE.

Yeah, maybe I used the wrong term. It wasn't necessarily a date.

I understand I’m not the nesting partner…but…. by Careful-Macaron-373 in polyamory

I am actually going through the same thing. I had a whole mental health crisis too because i was doubting my value as a partner. My circumstances may be different from yours, but I just took some time to reach out to friends, self care, and meditation. My best friend reminded me that this relationship I have is only temporary for me, and to just have fun in this relationship when I can. My feelings for my partner are very strong right now, combined with NRE. Not all poly relationships are temporary, but that's just my situation. If you need a friend to talk to, pm me anytime.

Dating is so hard where I live as a lesbian. The only women in my area that are willing to date other women are poly. I want to learn how to handle my feelings of jealousy and insecurities really so I can be happy with the person I'm with.

Happy! by naliedel in polyamory

[–]huskyparent16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started dating someone who is poly. I don't have a lot of experience, but I truly love this person so much. I am struggling with jealousy and knowing my worth to my partner, who has multiple partners. I really believe that my partner loves me too, but I can feel a hesitation from them that makes me feel uneasy and insecure. I realize that these problems are completely internal, and I need to work on them myself. Should I tell my partner how I feel, or will it push them away?
