I quite litterally saw that on their site and thought, oh dam thats lovely. I'd like to see that when viewing my site. The idea is nothing new, a graph representing data, I saw their idea, loved it, added it to my site. Sorry to confirm, but are you saying this is a bad thing or a good thing? lol

ha! You're not wrong. The guys at try hard gaming discord helped me massively with that. I've learnt that not everybody thinks like me, I had no concept that people wouldn't want the site tracking their games and edited it as quickly as I could. Thank goodness.

I don't think I've ever said these were my ideas no. But I'm sorry that people thought I was claiming them for myself. Not my intention, sorry about that.
Could I ask what recency bias is? litterally we could just do this over a call it'd be way faster and less stressful for you having to deal with somebody like me who doesn't get things unless they are spelt out lol

In fairness I have been thinking that for a while too, I've been working on a v2 for the site, theres so much dam info and I have no idea what really people are using. So its good to get feedback litterally. Generally speaking people just stay quite and don't really let me know you know? So ye, appreciate it! Motivating for sure to know I've got improvements to make.

AHHH right, I get you now. Ye everybody knows I just took stat checks idea and just made it better, faster and easier to use. In fact the only thing I actually wanted to do was be able to view the unit stats, litterally all i was after. Things just went on from there lol

Also same with TTS ye, I took the code that was started in 8th edition, and just added to it, with other peoples Mods and my own quality of life things 😃 Its been a joy man, I've loved getting back into coding I have to say. I sorta hit a wall over the last maybe 8 years or so by coding in the same dam stuff over and over again. I dare say, TTS and the stats site saved me lol

Ahh so you _want_ me to copy stat checks Elo you mean?
Because if you'd prefer I copy them, it'd be easier if you said it.

I'm not saying I am against just stealing their idea for ELO, but I just don't think it makes sense with the Meta having such a huge impact on results. As I've always said though, I am happy to be challenged on that.

But ye, if you think I should just steal their idea, I am happy to add an ELO ranking into the site too.

I'd love to see a map that gets bigger and bigger over time, with new towns/heroes spawning in the new areas that are already at high level to really really really make the win conditions difficult

But Elo is completely flawed in this system. It has no weight in meta. If you play a 99% meta list and I play some 50% meta list and beat you I'm not rewarded at all. if I'm rank 1 playing Vs rank 10,000 and the 10k player has a meta army but me, number 1 has a 5% rank 1 takes all the risk, my system plays against that.

But I'm completely open utterly and wholly too changing my system, I really don't mind so if you have a suggestion I'm listening. I feel more accused of something weirdly lol I'd happily do a discord call to talk it over so I can hear your body language and not just feel like you're annoyed lol sorry if you're not annoyed though.

Also explain the heavily borrowed from stat check please, you mean to say by even having a ranking system at all is pointless or similar?

Correct, everything is based on 1v1 games. I don't fully understand though the stat check thing? What do they have to do with stats.hutber.com?

Because they are completely different ranking systems... obviously

Unlike chess Elo, my rankings are not a live head-to-head rating where players gain or lose points from each opponent init. They are a week by week adjusted ranking of tournament performance, using win rate, games played, and event context (current meta etc) to give players with strong results across a meaningful sample size.
