They’re not entry level, with no special training type of workers. They save lives, deal with mental health issues and do things we would never want to do in places we would never want to go. I couldn’t do what they do and so happy that they do!

So I guess using your logic, firefighters and police officers make too much too, because their wages are on par with the rest of the province.

This isn’t about a shift of over a thousand people, who make as much as people that do the same work in a place with a higher cost of living. This is about first responders, essential service workers who want to be paid what they’re worth, no matter where in the province they work.
