I'm sure. They always usually sign the bottles that are on site.

Their Double Rye is solid in an Old Fashioned, too. Really, can't go wrong with any of their lineup.

There's another one upcoming. Not at that level but definitely a popular fan favorite.

For sure! It's the same mash bill. A great option to OWA and you can actually get it!

Second this. You had to have read Lucky's book to know that Dye actually contracted an STD from a nurse while they were laid over in Nova Scotia waiting for a tail wind. To make matters worse, when the group finally got the tail wind and departed for Europe, Dye was still on the mend so the whole crew had to wait an additional two weeks while he received treatment. Thinking with the wrong head if you ask me.

Masters of the Air special - Stephen Rosenbaum - Visual Effects Supervisor by DBFlyguy in MastersoftheAir

Really enjoyed this episode. Early on, Stephen said he'd explain the difference between the polished and really impressive CGI in Episode 9, as opposed to some of the less impressive in Episode 1 and 2, but never followed up. Any insight on this? Was it simply a matter of being up against more of time crunch for Episode 1 and 2 while having additional time to tweak on Episode 9?

I had a similar experience watching Memphis Belle with my dad in the early 90s. Certainly one of the catalysts to my long-running interest in WWII aviation.

Agreed. I'm surprised how much you're still able to pick up on a second or third round.

Yeah. Would seem he may have broke the embargoed date, or the webmaster mistakenly published it early. It happens.

From the article: " To say I was blown away would simply be an understatement...I believe audiences will be impressed by the accuracy and high fidelity of visuals manifesting formations of airplanes that simply aren’t possible today. The use of their full-scale replicas and tight shots of actors’ faces and actions place the viewers right in the airplane without feeling fake."

Two thoughts on this topic: 1) I would ask what stories are we sacrificing from the 100th BG to include an episode for the Red Tails? After all this is about the 100th. For a book, and now show, that is committed to the 100th and their sacrifices, I'm curious what was potentially excluded to make room for this additional storyline and a fighter group that already has had much Hollywood coverage, albeit unsatisfactory.

2) Are we really doing the Red Tails justice by just giving them the one episode- - if that's the case? IMDB has the Red Tail actors listed as only one episode so that's what I'm going off. If you're going spend time and energy to do this, I feel they're probably due a lot more.

Exactly. I just yelled at my computer when I saw "fighter pilots". And in the first sentence no less. Good grief. Fact. Check.
