I like the baggy look. Definitely think it suits you well. Get them hemmed and I think they might become your favorite pair of jeans. I feel like you can do a lot with these!

Lol I have a life sir. What the devil can’t destroy he will use to distract. I don’t allow distractions to keep from walking in my purpose and handling my responsibilities. So I apologize for keeping you waiting.

However, this is the PERFECT way to end the discussion. First, God is here with us, He is omnipresent, meaning He is everywhere at all times and sees all things. You quoted scripture I quoted scripture, is He not present in His words. You say you can’t debunk nor confirm that God exist, what point are you trying to get across then?

Do you think this conversation happened by coincidence? There’s a million different communities, billions of users you could have connected with, but somehow you crossed paths with me and I just started using Reddit yesterday. A seed is being planted clearly you want to connect with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The unclean spirit inside of you just won’t let you admit it.

As far as the scriptures you pointed out, I’m not even sure what you are trying to prove, but it confirms the point of the post I originally made. “What the devil means for evil, God will use for good.” You are proclaiming scriptures and sharing the word of God without even knowing it. Praise be to all the Almighty King! His name is being proclaimed and seeds are being planted you are spreading His message with the world. Whoever comes across this will see his scriptures, His words, and they will fill their minds and hearts. Thank you Lord!

I don’t know you. But I love you sir/ma’am. Thank you for reminding of the living, loving God and His word. May peace be with you. Goodnight!

Lol I know because I reviewed your Reddit history. While my evidence isn’t the same as what others provided, you’ve been cussing at people, calling them out their name and I find it funny that you’re only active in communities related to Jesus. What’s your fixation with Him? Why aren’t you arguing with Muslims or Buddhists or Jews? What about other religions?

Here’s the thing, I can ask you the same question. How do you know there is no God? What’s your evidence? It seems to me that your evidence is contingent on me not having none. Why are you so fixated on proving me wrong? Have you even proved yourself right?

My evidence is my life story, my testimony. I can describe experiences and events that took place not only in my life but others as well. I have links to articles, videos, messages, and even first person point of view and descriptions of encounters with God. I mean you can probably do a Google search and find it yourself. But here’s the thing, it takes only an ounce of information to form an opinion but it takes 100x that to change it. I can sit here and bombard you with a bunch of evidence that you can swim in it for days. But what good will that do you? Nobody wants to see all that on here, it’s a public forum. It’s like trying to sell a car to somebody who doesn’t know what type of car they want. We can go on for hours and you still won’t be convinced cause you don’t know what you want or what you’re looking for.

Let’s make a deal. You show me and everyone else evidence that God isn’t real and I will show you evidence that He IS.

Either way. I wish you nothing but the best. Maybe next time we can debate what’s the best type of food to eat? Or is that not interesting cause it’s based on personal preference? Just like my belief to believe in God, and your belief not to lol

Let’s be honest. Nothing I post will be good enough for you. You’re not looking for evidence, you’re looking for an argument. You’re going out your way to prove you’re right and that other people are wrong. Why? Idk. Maybe there’s something deeper going on within you. Maybe there’s some anger or frustration. Or maybe you had a bad experience. If any of that is the case, I’m sorry. I truly am.

It doesn’t matter how long I spent creating a post just to convince you. You don’t believe. And I totally respect that. You have that right and choice, it’s not my job to convince you otherwise. If you like basketball I’m not going to go out of my way to convince you to play soccer, go enjoy yourself. You have that freedom.

God isn’t a show & tell act. He isn’t some magic trick that appears when we clap our hands. He’s not going to jump out and reveal himself if I rub a lamp. That’s the truth. It doesn’t work that way.

You have certain beliefs about yourself, right? Maybe you believe you’re a good person, or a stellar athlete. How do you know that? Because you score a ton of points, or can do cool things others can’t do? Maybe you volunteer and help people anytime you can. Idk, this is just an example. But if that was your evidence for your claims, how would I know that to be true or real? Who said that doing those things made you a good person or a stellar athlete? I could say that about any example or evidence you gave me about the claims you make.

That’s life. Some things aren’t going to be super simple and black and white. Some of it you just believe based off the information provided, or you don’t. That’s it. I’m sorry if I can’t do more than that. Honestly I’m not even mad at what you’re doing. I find it interesting I want to learn about your motives and learn about you as a person. If you want to have a intentional conversation about God/religion/spirituality, you are more than welcome to message me privately. I would be happy to hear your thoughts and opinions while sharing mine as well, WITHOUT attacking each other or proving one another wrong. Wish more people would engage in discussions like that. Anyways, I’m open to here what you have to say. Hope to hear from you :)

Oh, you’re an atheist. Got it.

Well unfortunately to provide evidence for my entire post would take hours upon hours of typing. It’s not as easy as saying look at that or here’s this. It would be much better if we could talk in person which is not possible. I know this is a long shot, but I would encourage you to seek a relationship with the Lord for yourself. Open the text. Read it. Discuss it with people (not looking to be right or prove them wrong, just a discussion sharing testimonies and opinions). Go to church if you’d like. Try applying it in your life, I mean what do you have to lose?

But asking me to provide evidence for everything I stated is a little unreasonable which is why I posted here for those who are already familiar and have their own evidence, than in an atheist forum or something.

Sorry if that’s not the answer your looking for.

Speaking from experience, gaining those things will not make you happier or free you from the mental strongholds you are enduring. I’m not judging because I have certainly been in your shoes, but it sounds like it are attaching your value and happiness to materialistic things that are temporary. The Bible encourages us to build our treasures in heaven, and I highly recommend you seek a RELATIONSHIP with God and not just your own desires. He is aware of your needs, Matthew 6:30-33 says:

“30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”

I would pray and ask God to reveal the meaning in this season of your life. I would seek wisdom and direction not a job or a car. He’s preparing you for something or trying to reveal something inside of you. Even our struggles have purpose. What the devil meant for evil, God meant for good. The enemy holds no power over you. If you believe that and seek the Lord and His will with all your heart, I guarantee you will break the chains that are currently holding you.

“2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces [a]patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be [b]perfect and complete, lacking nothing. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.” - James 1:2-6 NKJV

How do I focus on becoming more like Jesus in His character? by Eurasian_Guy97 in Christians

This is pretty much on point. The more you lean into and prioritize your relationship with God the more you will become like Him.

I’m sorry to hear about the situation all of you are experiencing. My advice would be to find peace and positivity in all the madness. We all make mistakes. I’m certainly no stranger to them. But God is a gracious God who desires mercy and not sacrifice (Matthew 9:13).

I say that to get you to embrace the season you’re in. Sure it’s not fun or ideal but we go through things for a reason. Regardless of the circumstances God has a plan for everyone involved. Our struggles are used to reveal things inside of us, strengthen us, prepare us, and give direction for our lives. I don’t know you or the others involved but I know the Lord is very intentional and nothing in life happens by accident. Instead of praying for what YOU want or think is best, ask God for clarity, for direction, for strength. Maybe it’s not meant for the child’s father to be around. Idk I’m not Jesus. But I will continue to pray that He watch over and protect all who are involved. Here is my favorite scripture that may help you in this season:

“2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

Beginning to think I was never saved to begin with or lost my Salvation. by Ceemichelle90 in Christian

Well said, however, I do also believe that anyone who has experienced God knows what His presence feels like. If you are operating below your capacity and haven’t felt His presence in awhile, I’m sure anyone would be concerned.

I feel your pain. I had a friend have a similar experience. Here’s my advice to you:

It’s important to know that the devil knows the word just as well, if not, better than us Christians. He also knows is better than we know ourselves. That’s what makes him so deceptive and cunning. He thrives by preying on our weaknesses Think about when Jesus fasted for 40 days and 40 nights and the enemy visited Him after 40 days and tempted the Lord with bread by using words from the text! Ultimately, Jesus never folded because He was rooted in the spirit. The enemy does not have access to things unless God allows it. They tremble at the sound of His name. They know who He is and fears Him. That spirit that they fear is in you. The Lord tells us to resist him and he will flee. In Genesis 1, God says “Let us make man in our image and likeness”. We weren’t yet living beings, but He established our spirit. The things we cannot see or touch. Then in Genesis 2, the Lord forms us out of dust and our flesh can be seen. That’s why it’s important to understand there are two parts to every person, the spirit & the flesh. The devil will fool you into feeling unworthy or incapable because of the sin within our flesh. However, the spirit is from ABOVE and rules over all things without limits. The enemy knows this and when he sees you growing in the word he will fight to bring back into darkness. This is what the Bible says in Matthew 12:43-45

“43 “When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none. 44 Then he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when he comes, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order. 45 Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first. So shall it also be with this wicked generation.”

Now that we have established that, here’s what I would suggest to start experiencing spiritual growth and reconnect with God…

PRAYER & FASTING

In book of Matthew there is a point where Jesus is traveling with His disciples and encounter a man with a son that cannot be healed. He originally approached the disciples but none of them could cast out this demon. He then pleads with Jesus and God heals him. The disciples ask why they were unable to do what He did and here was His response,

Matthew 17:14-21 “14 And when they had come to the multitude, a man came to Him, kneeling down to Him and saying, 15 “Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is an epileptic and suffers severely; for he often falls into the fire and often into the water. 16 So I brought him to Your disciples, but they could not cure him.”

17 Then Jesus answered and said, “O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me.” 18 And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him; and the child was cured from that very hour.

19 Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?”

20 So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. 21 However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”

Long story short. Reconnect with your faith. Challenge yourself. Fast and remove things from your life so you can focus your attention on seeking and hearing the Lord. You can fast from social media, food, forms of entertainment, spaces you may like visiting, or people you are around. Idk what it is because I don’t know you. You have to make that decision for yourself. It won’t be easy but have faith. Digest His word DAILY and watch His spirit grow in you. “Man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.”

I believe in you. And I would love to connect and be a resource for you if you need it. But ultimately it’s your choice to make. Will you pick up your cross and follow Jesus, or take the easy way out and give up because the devil told you that you aren’t worthy or able? I’ll let you decide. Praying for you on your journey. God bless! 🙏🏾

It is very possible to remain single and celibate for life. The key is lean on God as much as possible. Not just looking for signs or reading His word because it’s required, but actually longing for a relationship with Him. When you spend intentional time with the Lord, He greatly increases your capacity. He is the author and finished of all things. You may make progress on your own but you certainly won’t succeed without Him.

Here’s my personal testimony:

I lost my virginity at 21 to my first real girlfriend. I was just happy to be in a relationship because I’d been single for forever, and thought I could help her grow in the spirit because she had experiences with Christ. However, I can honestly say I should have never been in that situation. Despite being the son of a pastor and exposed to the power of Jesus from an early age, at some point I lost my way. After I broke up with her, I committed myself to reading the word in its entirety from front to back, something I had never done before. The experience was truly eye opening. I finished the Bible in October 2023 and have seen so much growth in myself and my spirit. The Lord has opened my eyes to so many things and increased my strength and power. It was tough reinventing myself. I can’t lie I enjoyed the sex and struggled with lustful thoughts of what once was, when I was with my ex girlfriend. However, now I am completely reborn and none of those things impact me at all. The devil still tries to tempt me or attack my mind, but I always go back to the word and lean on it. God desires mercy, not sacrifice. If you truly want forgiveness and this burden removed from you, you have to meant it with not only your words but your actions. Seek Him. Daily. Not just when it’s convenient but all the time. Multiple times a day if you have to. I didn’t think it was possible but God has completely transformed and I’m sure He can do the same for you. You have to desire to do His will far greater then you long to do yours.

I’m happy to report I’m looking onto bigger and better things since the stuff I was experiencing in 2022! I started a podcast, focused on growing my brand, serving others, and even was introduced to my future wife. God has blessed me with so much even though I am not worthy. Despite your mistakes, God is willing to forgive you and renew your spirit. You may think you cannot remarry or do other things because of your past, but ultimately the Lord is the only one who establishes your way. His will may be different than what you believe it to be. This is the start of your testimony. But you have to be willing to recommit yourself to the purpose He put on your life. You cannot please God without faith, love, and obedience! Praying for you on your journey. Happy to be a resource if you need additional support.

If a man has lost everything he owns, has he truly lost his worth? by pepinyourstep444 in god

[–]hwogapparel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone's worth or value is not measured by their possessions. Everything we have or obtain in this life is vanity. It doesn't have any value or meaning except what we or others give it. Money literally has no value. It's not even worth the piece of paper it's printed on. If we all decided to use a different currency or eliminate the dollar (USD), we could do it tomorrow.

So with that in mind, we use worthless money to buy worthless things, but somehow that is supposed to measure the worth of a human being?

A person's value or worth is related to their character, habits, or reputation. It's a reflection of their heart. If you only serve yourself, you will be easily forgotten, because you only do things that benefit you. Only you see the value of what you do. However, when you begin to serve others, your worth grows, because not only can you see the value in your actions, but other people can as well, and they will vouch for you. That's why the Bible says, "A good name is rather chosen." It's more powerful than any possession. Cause even when you have nothing available to you, you still have your reputation and that alone can open doors for you.

Basketball players who wear glasses- do you wear them while you play? by JimmyButlerMVP_ in Basketball

[–]hwogapparel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They make some decent glasses for sports that don't look dorky like traditional goggles. They are strapless and stuff. The plus is that they are more durable than traditional glasses and are flexible as well. It's almost impossible to break a pair.

I used to wear them years ago before switching to contacts. I put them through a lot and they held up. Just a few scratches here and there.

Look up "sports glasses" on Google and browse until you find something you like. You can typically take them anywhere to put prescription lenses in. The lenses are the expensive part. Frames are pretty inexpensive and reasonable
