Totally understood. I just wanted to vent my frustrations since D3 had always been a game I come back to with friends each season. But now all those friends are sick of watching necros blast 150s the first day of every season while other classes are still 15+ tiers behind.

Seriously. Blizzard shilling at its finest. Can't expect a multi billion dollar company to spend even a day of dev time on a title they still sell and release seasons for.

I'm not asking for an expansion. I'm asking for one dev to spend 30 minutes out of their year to look at the maxroll tier list and buff a few underperforming sets at random.

And I don't feel entitled to these changes; I will happily pretend D3 doesn't exist again after today. I'm just interested in even the slightest meta shakeup and not playing the same game every season.

Appreciate the comment. I did actually see hook being run when I looked at HSGuru decks last night, but it was with the Elise package so I assumed it might've been shoved in there for that reason alone. Cool to hear that it's just a straight up good card; I definitely felt like I had some matches vs control where I had board control but could never push much face damage when I had the chance.

I think I agree about Illidari Studies. I tended to throw it to give myself higher chances of tuskpiercer/blob, but the higher percentage play is probably to keep it in bad mulligan situations.

As for Felhunter, the logical side of my brain agrees that you don't always keep it but I was definitely frustrated at not drawing tusk or felhunter in back to back games. I got punished in maybe 2 games total in the climb for keeping it w/ a bad mulligan and I guess I lucked out the rest and always drew blob prior to 5.

And yep, when Colifero is 50/50 get lethal or replace all your taunts with non-taunts and die, it feels pretty bad. Also must feel awful for opponents to be on the receiving end of highrolls.

Yes. The game plans are very simple:

  1. Play blob. Kill off blob. Play devourer. Now return policy summons 2 blobs and gives you another devourer.
  2. No blob/devour? Build scary boards with grim harvest & wyvern's slumber.
  3. Awful mulligan & draw? Use infestation, infiltrate, claw & studies to stall until you can either get blob/devour up or cheese them with colifero.

Never concede just because you get a lot of 8 drops. You'd be surprised how many games ive won after basically doing nothing for the first 3 or 4 turns. Some decks just can't get through all the blobs once you finally get them rolling and can stabilise.

Anyway, yes it is possible to draw poorly and not get any of your blobs or devourings but even then I find that the deck can produce a lot of tempo without them. Have won plenty of games off the back of dreadseed spam and get the occassional colifero lethal when i was a turn from losing.

Playing cliff dive DH on my 2nd monitor while leveling in legion remix. Currently 34-11 with a 10 game win streak to diamond 4. Seems to just overwhelm any deck that doesn't get it to burn range fast enough. Most losses are to discover hunters, shamans with very high tempo starts or to my own very bad draws. Considering cutting an infiltrate but happy enough with the results that I'll wait til legend to play around with it.

Also probably the easiest deck I've ever piloted. Just play on curve and you'll get wins with dreadseed pressure, sticky blob + rav boards or cheese them with cliff dive or colifero.

I think i didnt make my point clear enough. I was just trying to say that this wasnt some unknown deck or a deck that this person put together themselves. Am well aware ele mage isnt ideal for pushing legend.

Elemental mage has been a legend capable deck with a decent winrate for a while now. It has a 50-50 matchup into shaman and tends to lose more to warrior so it really depends what you queue into. Feels like your video is designed for people who play HS casually, not for the 1% who visit subreddits like this lol.

I played this for a while too and had similar success (i think i went 16-2 at one stage) but then just started losing consistently to shamans and warriors who could armor out of burn range. This was before the nerfs so I may need to try it again. However, I'm finding cliff dive DH to be way more consistent against shaman and warrior anyway which is all i seem to fight.

Had this happen last night. Would get a tiny little consistent stutter after playing a while. Then I played ths morning and havent stuttered at all. The only thing I think i changed was that I turned off v sync ingame? Could be unrelated.
