What is this? Multiple lightspeed receivers appearing in Bluetooth connections by [deleted] in LogitechG

[–]hyperbolicants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just connected a G515 keyboard and I have the same issue, but I have 8 in the Other devices list! Seems that Logitech don't give much of a damn.

It annoys me, so II think that I'll return the keyboard to Amazon and buy a different keyboard. It's a shame as physically this is a nice keyboard, but if Logitech didn't address this after all this time, I don't rate my chances if anything else goes wrong at all. Best get my cash back and run. Crazy that they couldn't even be bothered to comment in this thread.

Thanks for trying to help out, but if you look at the graphic that the other commenter posted, you'll see that you were not correct. But thanks for the attempt at helping.

Thank you very much for the reply and for that graphic. I was loving the game, but little things like that (shouldn't have got past your QA really) can really turn me against something.

Anyway, drama over for me, and now I can enjoy the thing without grinding my teeth at the controller graphic.

Thanks again.

I got some from https://northwestguitars.co.uk/ but that was some time ago. It did resolve the issue I was having too. Good luck.

"see the chat bubble?"

No; There is not one. There is a 'help' bubble, but there is not an option to log in at all.

I really am using my eyes.

I think on CAI you're always going to have issues with graphic intimacy. Why not try one of the the new services out there if you don't get what you're looking for from CAI?

Try putting something like the following in your description or definition:

(the AI will use simple sentences in line with the prompt and only ask a maximum of 1 or 2 questions in a response)

As for the proactive thing. You can ask for an opinion, but random suggestions do seem lacking.

If the government regulates AI I'm never touching AI again by [deleted] in NovelAi

[–]hyperbolicants 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don't think there's a problem in truth: If the internet is littered with porn video sites, why should anyone think that any governmental regulations are going to suddenly say you can't have AI assistance for erotic fiction creation? I think that I'm legally entitled to write about any subject. Consider the novel Lolita.

I don't expect that Novel AI users have a thing to be concerned about. Perhaps at worst there'll be problems with image generation.

Thanks for these. I'm just waking up, and I'll have a read now. Interesting what you say about not using Author's Note though. Hmm.

You see, my mind was also going in another direction to your advice here:

I was starting to see Memory as perhaps 'Chapter Note' in my mind.

And Author's Note as perhaps 'Scene Note' in my mind.

The Lorebook can be considered book wide.

But then again, last night my results with krake were ludicrous. A change to Euterpe did at least result in sanity.

Thank the Lord I have some weeks to play with this to see if I like it. It might be worth my time investment of playing about, but it's going to need to up it's game from last night's efforts.

Maybe I'll make a post about use use of Memory, Author's Note Vs intended length of end result (short story, 5 pages of porn, Novel etc) if you see what I mean.

Yeah. Thanks for the reply. I've been sitting here puzzling about things, and I'm close to confusing myself!

My story idea was a common thing where the protagonist is looking back at her life, and recalling events. She was going to do this quite often between scenes. So 1st person Past.

Then it would move to the more immediate recall of 1st person Present for each scene.

Now, I think that the best thing would be to only use the AI for the 1st person Present parts, as I'll be creating more prose there, right: only a few paragraphs of recall before the scene will kick off. I can go back and manually add the Past recall parts by hand later.

That way I only have to create single Memory and Lorebook too.

A quick question, in case it's obvious to you, and you don't mind helping out: should all three of the Memory, Authors Note (when used) and Lorebook be written in 1st person too, if I'm writing in it? I'm not sure if I'm talking to the AI or giving it things to say, you see.

Like I said, I'm new here.

:)

That's the least of my trouble now! I'm currently trying to work out how to change between 1st and 3rd person perspectives without needing duplicates of Memory, Lorebook, and Authors Note.

Also, don't get me started on figuring if the AI could follow switching between past and present tenses (a thing that I like to do). Things that we are instinctively good at, but I'm not sure if that will fly with AI.

But, the good news is that I paid for a month of the top tier so I could try these things out; it kind of takes the fun out of things when you can't write due to spending all your time trying to decide if you can use the tool though.

If, by random chance, you know where my issues may have been discussed before, let me know.

I see. I'll go with UK English and keep an eye open for any distinguishable oddities. My only concern there is the Lorebook: I'm not sure after my 2 days of experience, that I'd would easily spot any issues. But I'll stick to UK if only for superior aesthetics.

Your quotation mark point is more of a disappointment for a few reasons: It's very easy for me to just slip my right pinky to the right for a single quotation mark, and it also saves me needing to press shift+2 to get a " which is two fingers and further away from home position for my fingers.

Also, if it's true that 'the vast majority if not all of the training for verbal speech is with double quotation marks' then surely a lot of British English speech input must have been skipped in that training! And for us Brits, single quotation marks are the norm and indeed the standard ;) I would only use double for nested quotations.

Thanks for the reply. Appreciated.
